Case Study Of Roug Rough Cut Capacity Planning
1. INTRODUCTION
Consumer demand for a product can be fulfilled entirely in the master production schedule if
supported by production capacity according to production requirements. Master production schedule
can be easily realized if consumer demand is constant, but in fact companies often experience
fluctuations in the demand of consumers who tend to be unstable. Based on research Liske F. (2012)
that capacity planning is done well can meet the demand of existing customers as well as be able to
increase the company s revenue. Based on research Ria Amalia (2012) that consumer demand can be
met by adding machines at work center that is experiencing a shortage of capacity.

The Efficacy of Patient-Controlled Analgesia
The practice of patient controlled analgesia (PCA) has been around for approximately four decades
now. During this time there have been improvements to the technology and the understanding of
how to use this form of patient pain control; however, there continues to be concern related to the
safety and efficacy of PCA. As this analysis proceeds it will briefly explain what PCA is and how
it is used, then delve into the benefits and the safety issues surrounding PCA use as it pertains to the
patient and the nurse. Some of the benefits of PCA include improved painmanagement, improved
use of nursing resources, increased patient satisfaction, and reduced pulmonary issues (Hicks,
Sikirica, Nelson, Schein Cousins, 2008). Some of the safety... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Only patient activation of their infusion pump allows for this fundamental safeguard to come into
play. Later in this paper we will discuss the safety issues related to the activation of a PCA
infusion pump by someone other than the patient, a practice called PCA by proxy. Although there
appears to be significant benefits to the use of PCA infusion pumps, there are significant safety
issues arising from the use of PCA infusion pumps that can cause severe harm and potentially even
death. Some of these safety issues include infusion pump programming errors, basal infusion of
opioids, and PCA by proxy. A leading type of error identified in doing harm to PCA patients is the
improper dosage or quantity of analgesic medication (Hicks et al, 2008). This sort of error took place
on a patient returning to a hospital for postoperative pain management following a recent surgical
procedure. The nurse was given an order to manage the patient s pain with hydromorphone
administered via PCA infusion pump. In programming the pump the nurse inadvertently changed the
concentration of the medication from 1mg/ml to 0.3mg/ml, thus leading to errors in both the

The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma

The Seminole Tribe is a Native American tribe that originated in present day Florida. The land
had once belonged to the Native Americans until it was discovered by the Spanish explorers. The
Seminole Tribe has been around since before the New World was found, although their name has
not. The word Seminole came from a European misnomer, while describing a group of tribes.
These groups of tribes were then called the Seminoles. The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma has
overcome a troubled history and a challenging life in their new land to achieve current day success
in the new millennium. The Seminoles were originally part of the Creek Indians residing in
Alabama and Georgia. They cut off ties with the Creek and moved to northern Florida, where they
eventually earned the name of Seminole. The history of the Seminoles first started when the Spanish
entered Florida in the 1500 s. It was not until the early 1800 s in which conflict stirred up with the
United States. In 1817, Andrew Jackson sent 3,000 troops to burn down the town called Mikasuki.
The act of aggression is what started the first Seminole war. The three Seminole Wars caused
thousands of deaths among the Seminole people. In 1832, through the Treaty of Payne s Landing,
the Seminole Tribe was forced to give up all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The relocation of the Seminoles is what started the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Although they
were first relocated into the Creek Nation, they eventually were given their own land and officially
became the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. The Seminole Nation through the years has grown in
size and had steady relations with other tribes such as the Creek. Today, they have many things such
as casinos and trading posts that contribute to the Nation s success. The Seminole Nation of
Oklahoma is continuing to gain wealth and is steadily becoming a successful

Part A: Potential Advantages and Shortfalls of Various Globalization Strategies

Globalization strategies have been an issue for any organization that intends to increase its
international presence. Free Range Foods has decided to grow operations in France, the United
Kingdom, and other regions throughout the globe. The recommended strategies Free Range Foods
should consider utilizing in order to strengthen its position in the international market are 1) Merger
and Acquisition/ Takeover and 2) Strategic Alliances. Both strategies are effective in obtaining an

Producing and maintaining a product is hard enough domestically and is only further compounded
with the addition of taking further components into consideration.
A major factor that Free Range needs to consider is how they will like to set up their international
organization. According to Jones (2013), a multidomestic strategy is defined as one which
haswhen you have a corporateion headquarters and establishesdevelop divisions in each country
or region where ityou would like to do business in. Authority in these divisions would be given to
the managers located in eachthere. The divisions would develop and market products in a way that
focuses on the region of the globe they are locatedin (Jones, 2013, p. 464). This is important to
consider because what Americans want out of a product can be very different than what Europeans
expect out of a product. For example, there are many different types of cheeses available in Europe
that are not available in America, so it would be important to understand the culture and expectations
of consumers in the country/region where a company doesyou are doing business in. The
Multidomestic approach will allow you to form your products to satisfy the needs and wants of the
consumers in that area.
One of the primary factors to consider is the cost of establishing the business in a foreign market.
France maintains market for organic products but the products are sold at a much higher rate than
traditionally farmed

Bohemian Rhapsody Rhetorical Devices
Queen s Bohemian Rhapsody , written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, is an elaborate and intriguing
best selling song from 1975. There is much speculation about what this song could be about, but
there is a general understanding that no matter it is about, the song is used to express Mercury s
feelings. Throughout the song, there are various shifts in tone and music style, which are very
important in demonstrating Mercury s emotions toward himself and others. The song is symbolic of
Mercury s emotional struggles, and through various rhetorical strategies he conveys his confused and
fragile emotions to the listeners. The introduction of the song causes the listeners to feel sympathy
and sadness through Mercury s ashamed and melancholy tone.... Show more content on

Like the first section, Mercury uses rhetorical questions, but in this section, they serve a very
different purpose. The rhetorical questions help to emphasize Mercury s anger by taking the form
of accusations: So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye? So you think you can love me
and leave me to die? (Mercury) The music combined with the accusations help to cause the listeners
to feel some of Mercury s anger at those who have hurt him and put him in to his current emotional
state. This section goes on to beg those who hurt him to stop and leave him alone. By repeating a few
words, Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here (Mercury) he enforces the idea that he
urgently needs to leave the relationship that is hurting him and causing him all this pain. Overall, the
section is energetic and strong, and through the use of repetition and rhetorical questions, brings the
listeners similar feelings of ire and desperation due to hurtful
The Scapegoat In Shirley Jackson s The Lottery
Numerous critics have carefully discussed Shirley Jackson s The Lottery in terms of the scapegoat
traditions of anthropology and literature, pointing out its obvious comment on the innate savagery of
man lurking beneath his civilized trappings. Most acknowledge the power of the story, admitting that
the psychological shock of the ritual murder in an atmosphere of modern, small town normality
cannot be easily forgotten. Nevertheless, beneath the praise of these critics frequently runs a current
of uneasiness a sense of having been defrauded n some way by the development of the story on a
whole.

Nebeker asserts that Jackson has also hinted at larger meanings through name symbology. Martin,
Bobby s surname, derives from a Middle English word signifying ape or monkey. This,
juxtaposed with Harry Jones (in all its commonness) and Dickie Delacroix (of the Cross) urges us
to an awareness of the Hairy Ape within us all, veneered by a Christianity as perverted as
Delacroix, vulgarized to Dellacroy by the villagers. Horribly, at the end of the story, it will be
Mrs. Delacroix, warm and friendly in her natural state, who will select a stone so large she had to
pick it up with both hands and will encourage her friends to follow suit. Nebeker concludes every
major name in the story has its special
Guy Montag Essay
Throughout the novel Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag goes from a relatively typical fireman to a
man on the run. In the story, Guy meets his seventeen year old neighbor Clarisse McClellan, she
questions Montag about his life now and the life he has always lived. Near the start of the book
Clarisse asks Montag, Are you happy? Clarisse s question influenced Montag in many ways,
causing him to wonder about his life. After speaking with Clarisse, Montag starts thinking about
his wife, Mildred, and whether they really love each other or not. He leaves her to go home and
find out for sure. Once he is inside he asks Mildred if she remembers where they met for the first
time. Neither Mildred nor Montag remembers where they met at for the first... Show more content on

The consequence of this behavior could send Montag to prison, which Montag does not care
about. After reading several books Montag talks with his close friend, Faber, and says to him We
have everything to be happy, but we re not happy .What Montag tells Faber at that moment is
really an expression of how he started analyzing more after starting reading books. Although
Montag s love life changes and his view of society are changed too, this is not the only change
Montag must admit. In the start of the book Montag is delighted in the work of burning illegal
books and the homes of where they are found. However, as the book progresses, Montag becomes
increasingly disgruntled, as he realizes that he has an empty, unfulfilling life. A point that shows
that Montag in the start of the book is happy about his job is when he hangs up his helmet and
shines it; hangs up his jacket neatly; showers luxuriously, and then, whistling walks across the
upper floor. The turning point of his liking about his work is when Captain Beatty arrives to speak
with Montag, somehow knowing that he feels ill and would be taking the evening off. Before he
leaves, Beatty makes mention of the fact that firemen are occasionally overcome by curiosity about
the books that they burn and may steal one to satiate that curiosity. Even though when this happens,
they are given a 24 hour respite to come to their senses and burn the book. If they do not follow this
rule, then their coworkers
