SWOT and Strategy Evaluation Paper
SWOT and Strategy Evaluation Paper Bradley Garner PHL/320 June 18, 2015 Dr. Tony Bennett
SWOT ANALYSIS OF INTERNET PROVIDER INDUSTRY Looking at the world today, no
person can imagine his or her life without some form of internet usage. The Internet has become a
part of our daily life. The Internet Provider industry is ruling all the other sectors of business. With
today s booming technology, most businesses have difficulty without the services of the Internet.
Earlier day s access to the Internet was a costlier, therefore confined to only high profile businesses
and people of wealth. The average homeowner did not have access. Even today, smart phone usage
does not account for the large numbers of families without direct... Show more content on

SWOT ANALYSIS OF INTERNET PROVIDER INDUSTRY A SWOT analysis helps the
companies or industry to analyse and understand where the industry should place itself in the
market, how they can improve and how to defeat their competitors. With the SWOT analysis, a
business understands its competitor s position in the market or industry and identifies where the
funds and resources of the company should be invested so as to create new products and services
for the consumers (Aimee, 2010). Thus before conducting the SWOT analysis, we will divide the
ISP s into four groups: large ISP s, small ISP s, Telco and cable companies STRENGTHS In the
Internet Provider Industry, the large or big companies have much more experience of the industry
in comparison to small ISP s. Consumers who are aware of these larger branded names will
subscribe to such known companies. Large ISPs have the ability of innovation; they can afford
taking risks. Their huge infrastructure is based on laid fibre optics, thus providing Internet at lower
rates and they also own some parts of networks which increase their strength in the market (Rahima,
2013.) Their trained and qualified staff is more experienced and provide high quality work.
WEAKNESSES The large companies in this industry lack superior customer service. With
technology rising faster than consumers are educated, computer education and training is on the rise
as well. This need for customer
The Contributions of Post Development Theory
Introduction The world has witnessed an ongoing transformation involving the various changes
regarding development approaches and classification of communities. Interestingly, this
diversification of the world has started with the end of the World War II. This remarkable point
indicates the first definition of underdeveloped for the first time in the history. In Gustavo Esteva s
article, it is pointed out that dated from 1949,the concept underdeveloped commenced to take place
in literature after the expression by Truman following the Second World War. ( Esteva: 6) This was
a major turning point that the communities belong to so called undeveloped part of the world have
been threatened by the US hegemony which has roots from the 1940s.... Show more content on

These all different social systems require different approaches regarding development. The crucial
point is that PD theorists usually define that the culture, changes in terms of social issues and
societal systems, and anthropology are inseparable actors of development which are all
interconnected to each other. The intrinsic beyond that is the more prominent the agenda of
hegemony becomes, the greater localized people and their cultures occupy a role in the agenda of
development. (Ferguson:157) Anthropology is believed that it could pave the way for unique forms
of projects regarding to development. In addition to that, they should be properly and separately
engaged with the ethnographies and anthropologies. These projects play an important role in order
to put emphasis on local roots and their resistance against the power of the hegemony. PD theorists
mainly are the supporters of cultural relativism. They have the position supporting limited
universalism as well. Conversely, this relativism is not intrinsically associated with universal issues
and problems which are dealt with PD theorists as well. Whereas they aim to search for local
solutions, they neglect the universality of problems. Although, mainly the issues are defined locally
in terms of unique ethnographies, it should be noticed that these local problems have commenced to
be universal issues concerning the various parts
The Major Causes Of Industrialization In The United States
Industrialization began in 1877 and ended in 1900 the United States (U.S.). To have
Industrialization, you must have these four things: natural resources, transportation, urbanization,
and technology. During this era, jobs became a necessity for citizens in the United States,
industries began to boom as well as new homes for people, but that also caused problems.
Transportation was developed and it made life easier for transporting people and goods from place
to place. Many inventions helped the United Stateswith many things. For example, the telegraph
helped send messages and the light bulb helped people see in the dark. Also, many Americans were
losing their jobs because of immigration. Children during this time period had it just as rough as the
adults, maybe even more than them. The Industrial Revolutionled to the growth of cities, industries,
new inventions, and major points that created transportation and housing for citizens because of new
jobs and productions.
To have industrialization, there are a few things that are needed for it to happen. One of these
necessities were natural resources. Water was one of the most important resources because it was
needed for water power and dams were built to hold water that could be channelled into mill races
to power industries. Later on in the years coal and iron were a major natural resource, it was also a
source of power. The next ingredient needed for industrialization was transportation. The railroad
was the
What Is Research Design
Research Design This research follows a repeated measures experimental design. It analyzes the
time taken and number of successful passwords decrypted collected by the researchers in a random
sample of a leaked database, testing password vulnerability. In more detail, this is a true experimental
type of research since it is based on testing various samples, additionally each participant, in this case
hashtypes, are tested in their natural environment , the computer. The plan of the experiment is to
observe the brute force attackon a random sample and analyze the time taken to decrypt the
passwords. Finally, the goal of this research is also to spread knowledge on user password creation.
The procedure of the experiment starts with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is done in two trials, each with the same sample and sample size but differing in method used
to process data. It is done to see which of the methods works best to decrypt passwords most
efficiently. After the experimentation, a test statistic, specifically ANOVA is used to determine how
different Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) speeds affect the time the set of passwords are cracked. In
addition, another type of experiment is conducted regarding the brute force attack on the
MD5 hashtype. Five trials are created using the two GPU Architectures, with each trial containing
five hundred Message Digest 5 (MD5) hashtypes. It is done to show the ease/difficulty of cracking a
password. Further discussion regarding the results of this test, and its implications in the practical
sense is elaborated in the Data Analysis portion of the paper.
Use of Different Graphics Processing Unit Architectures to Analyze Variance in Hash Cracking Rate
and Real World Implications of Password Creation by Users 12
Developing the Tool The experiment coded by the researchers with the rules within the hashcat
application uses a consumer grade computer that uses an Intel i3 4150 Central Processing Unit
(CPU) and a Geforce GTX
750ti and GTX 1050ti as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The results from the hardware are
calculated by ANOVA to determine differences between each time it took
Warren Buffet Case Solution
Case 1| Warren Buffet| Group 7| According to the case, there are stock price changes for Berkshire
Hathaway and Scottish Power plc on the day of the acquisition announcement. Also, the bid price
for PacifiCorp is $9.4 billion. After knowing this announcement, Berkshire Hathaway s Class A
shares price went up and make them gained in market value $2.17 billion. In Berkshire and other
investors point of view, After Berkshire takeover PacifiCorp, it might have a good development and
future so that the stock price went up. Berkshire believed that PacifiCorp can have good earning
returns in the future. The intrinsic value is more valuable than its cost so they are willing to pay
$9.4 billion to acquire. Moreover, based on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is importance because it can be measure the ability to earn returns in excess of the cost of capital,
rather than the accounting profit, which can know the attractiveness of a business. Furthermore, the
gain in intrinsic value could be modeled as the value added by a business above and beyond the
charge for the use of capital in that business. On the other hand, the alternatives to intrinsic value are
accounting profit, performance, firm size, etc. But, Buffett reject accounting profit as a
measurement mainly because the accounting reality was conservative, backward looking, governed
by GAAP, ignore the market value of a business and the performance of a business, also ignore the
intangible assets for a business such as patents, trademarks, expertise, reputation, etc. He believed
that investment decision should be based on economy reality, which included many items that
accounting profit had ignored. Now, it is time to judge the eight principles that Buffett s investment
philosophy says. At first, Mr. Warren E. Buffett said that their operating and capital allocation
process would not be affected by accounting numbers such as financial statement and any
consolidated numbers. The book also says the accounting reality is restricted by the generally
accepted accounting principles, GAAP, so that some intangible assets
Security Analysis Of An Electronic Voting System

Security Analysis of an Electronic Voting System
Abstract
Fundamental right to vote or simply voting in elections forms the basis of democracy. Electronic
Voting Machine (EVM) is a simple electronic device used to record votes in place of ballot papers
and boxes which were used earlier in conventional voting system .With significant U.S. federal funds
we now have replaced the outdated punch card and mechanical voting systems, and are adopting
paperless electronic voting systems from a number of different vendors. My analysis shows that this
voting system is below the minimal security standards. Threats of computer viruses or hacker
orchestrated attacks are most commonly mentioned as problems that could compromise an election
and public confidence in electronic voting. Other potential technical problems or issues include
power outages or malfunctions in Internet connectivity as well as the possibility of servers shutting
down or crashing. The reliable recording and storage of votes is also an important consideration, I
conclude that this voting system is unsuitable for use in a general election. Any paperless electronic
voting system might suffer similar flaws, despite any certification it could have otherwise received.
I suggest that the best solutions are voting systems having a voter verifiable audit trail, where a
computerized voting system might print a paper ballot that can be read and verified

Pogroms
In November of 1938, riots were swarming the streets. Then the riots started murdering Jews,
destroying and demolishing other people s property. That night was called Kristallnacht. By far,
Kristallnacht was the largest, most destructive, and most clearly orchestrated of the pogroms.
Pogroms is a Russian word meaning devastation. In the first three months of Hitler ruling, over forty
Jews were murdered. Hitler ruled from 1934 to 1945. He decided that he was going to try to rule
during The Great Depression because millions were unemployed at the time. In 1932, Hitler ran
against an 84 year old named Paul von Hindenburg (aka: Paul Ludwig Hans Anton von
Beneckendorff und von Hindenburg)
The Right Of Selling Articles
their own work. This restriction looks simple enough but is was used, for example, to restrict the
sale of anything if the packaging was not made by the seller. A licensed guild merchant did not give
them the right of selling articles not of their manufacture.
Residence
After the Polish partitions, Russia inherited 2 million Jews. The government restricted these Jews
residence in only 25 political districts, called the Pale of the settlement, with few exceptions. Russia
established this Jewish area after partitions of Poland (1772, 1793, and 1795) Territorial divisions of
Poland by Russia, Prussia, and Austria.
Unequal Punishment
Jews were liable for more severe punishments than non Jews for committing the same offenses.

The latter were arrested because they ventured to stay near their homes. The following morning, the
Christians were released and allowed to swell the ranks of the pillaging mob, while the Jews were
kept in jail until the following day and freed only when the governor arrived.
On the following day, March 30, at four 4:00 am, the leader of the ruffians summoned five
thousand armed peasants, who proceeded to finish the job of the day before. The police and fire
brigades helped them as reconnaissance and spy operatives.
The police did nothing. Accordingly, The pogrom of Balta was not by the mere inactivity of the
police, but the actual direct activity of the local authorities.
The result. Forty Jews dead; one hundred, seventy slightly wounds. . There were more than twenty
cases of rape. Many Jews, particularly the women became insane from fright.
There was considerable damage of houses, dwellings, stores, etc. from fire and looting. Indeed, the
aftermath of this pogrom resulted in more than fifteen thousand people without shelter or livelihood.
The material damage and dislocation were great; loss of life and casualties relatively minimal.
Prior to the May Laws, there were stirrings to emigrate from Russia, be it Palestine or another
country. Russian officials in charge of Jewish Affairs stated that the Western frontier held an escape
for the Jews. The Russian Jewish press
