Charles Town Dbq Questions And Answers
Charles Town DBQ Did you Know Charleston Used to be Called Charles Town? Settlers wanted
to settle in Charles Town, but it was difficult due to the environment and the people in it. So they
had to overcome them so the settlers could make a settlement. They overcome them by clearing
the land, fighting the Native Americans and growing crops. Settling is to, migrate and colonize.
Charles Town was difficult to settle because of the geography, resources and disease. One reason
why Charles Town was difficult to settle was the geography of the land. According to the map of
Charles Town in Document A, there was a lot of rivers this was good for transportation. Rivers
were bad for building and exploring. Some of the natural resources on the map are trees and water.
Problems the settlers faced while settling were the animals, weather and the Native Americans. A
lot of the animals and Native Americans were unfriendly in this area. The weather in this area is
rainy and that can be hard when you re trying to build a town. Those are all the reasons why
geography made it difficult.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the article in Document B and C, some resources made it difficult to settle but
others made it easy. The resources that made it difficult to settle was the location, ironstone in the
ground and sandy soil. The land was filled with large swamps, which means there is no place to
put a field or build a house. Some resources that made it easy to settle was the flat land, cleared
land from the Native Americans, pasturage, water and trees. Pasturage is soil that is good for
farming. Natural resources that were abundant was fertile soil. The resources did make it difficult
but they also made it easy for building homes and other things. All of these reasons are why the lack
of resources made it difficult to settle in Charles
De Centralization Of Electronic Discovery
De centralization of electronic discovery Eric W. Landry

August 2, 2014 Abstract
In 1995 and 1996 the judicial systems around the world realized that there was a problem with
computer based discovery and enacted civil procedures and guidance to assist legal entities.
Summarizing Michael Curran, Esq. (2011) even with these civil procedures, guidance and laws in
place, there are still several challenges in the legal systems when it comes to discovery of
Electronically Stored Information when dealing with international e discovery (Curran, 2011). This
information may be protected under different data protection laws that can inhibit the e discovery
process during litigation, civil, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

IIntroduction
The de centralization of electronic discovery (e discovery) rules (laws) brings challenges when
searching for evidence in Electronically Stored Information (ESI), both nationally and
internationally. If a litigation case covers more than one jurisdiction a lawyer will need to be hired
that knows each particular jurisdiction. The reason that a lawyer familiar with that particular
United States (US) district court, from herein referred to as districts; will need to be hired, is due to
the differences in the local rules throughout the districts. To summarize David Canfield (2012),
several states have adopted new civil procedures since the 2006 Amendments that may be
incorporated in the Federal rules for future amendments (Canfield, 2012, p.p. 1 2). District judges
play an active role in tailoring e discovery needs to individual cases (Allman, T., 2013) and the local
adoption of federal rules cause inconsistent rules throughout the country is the cause of these
differences (Allman, T., 2013). Regulations that
Life In The Upper Class
The upper class were very wealthy and owned an abundance of land. Thus, they did not want to
live close to the unsanitary city but instead in spacious land where they could build a huge estate.
These areas include the Eastern Suburbs and the North Shore in Sydney and the Yarra, Toorak,
Kew, Hawthorn, St. Kilda and Bay at Brighton suburbs in Melbourne. They lived on higher planes
of land, often on top of hills as it was the furthest away from the factory pollution and had a low
risk of flooding. Spread of disease and bacteria was decreased by the medication, clean clothes
and larger accommodation that the upper class could afford which prevented the spread of
disease and prepared for the need of isolation if an disease epidemic ever occurred. Working
conditions were much better as a majority of the upper class were born into rich families that
eliminated the need of women and children to work and established men in a high hierarchical
position from a very early age which only required them to manage and overlook factories or
enterprises.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They often lived in leafier, airier suburbs where pollution was further away and enabled them to
not live in such unhygienic and dangerous conditions such as an overcrowded house with poor
light supply and little ventilation. They were able to afford to live comfortably with a few
luxuries. Their working conditions were less laborious and reside in the tertiary and quaternary
sectors of the government system where work was knowledge and service based. Their jobs were
comfortable and earned respect from members of the
Effects of Illegal Insider Trading Essay
Insider trading is a term that most investors have heard and usually associate with illegal conduct.
But the term actually includes both legal and illegal conduct. The legal version is when corporate
insiders officers, directors, and employees buy and sell stock in their own companies. When
corporate insiders trade in their own securities, they must report their trades to the SEC. Illegal
insider tradingrefers generally to buying or selling a security, in breach of a fiduciaryduty or other
relationship of trust and confidence, while in possession of material, nonpublic information about
the security. Insider trading violations may also include tipping such information, securities trading
by the person tipped, and securities... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, in a case like that of Enron, their stock price was enormous since it was not evident that they
were cooking their books. This would not have happened if insider trading were legal. Investors
would not have lost most of their money investing in a firm like Enron and taking the hit when
they were investigated for insider trading and fraud. The Enron insiders would have sold their
shares and the price would have corrected itself and the disaster might have been avoided.
Investors could have allocated their money towards more promising investments, which in turn
would increase market efficiency. With legalizing insider trading, stock prices would be more
efficient with the ability to acquire more information. Illegal trading is still common and some
may say it is actually growing. This puts law abiding investors at a disadvantage. Insider trading
bans allow for some comparable behavior. For example, if I were to work for a company and
hear that we were going to post a profit this quarter, I would not sell my shares. This could be
considered insider non trading and is currently legal, but can basically be considered insider trading.
There are plenty of loopholes in the current system. With increased information, we might be able to
smooth the volatility of the market. It will lessen the exposure to bad information and will benefit
the market s participants. Profits being made from the information will expedite the flow of
information. There is a gray area
National Influenza Immunization Program
In 1976, due to an outbreak of influenza at Fort Dix, New Jersey, the United States set a precedent
in immunology by attempting to vaccinate the entire population of the country against the
possibility of a swine type Influenza A epidemic. While a great many people were successfully
immunized in a very short period of time, the National Influenza Immunization Program (NIIP)
quickly became recognized as a failure, one reason being that the feared epidemic never surfaced at
all. But this massive undertaking deserves more analysis than just a simple repudiation. For
example, all evidence linked to the pathology, microbiology, and historical cycle of influenza and the
outbreak at FortDix suggests that the reactions of the scientists and other... Show more content on

(Silverstein: 13) There are three types of influenza, depending on their activity: type A, which is
usually the cause of outbreaks; type B, which is linked to sporadic cases, and type C, which
rarely causes disease reactions. (Silverstein: 54) The virus which causes influenza enters the host
through the respiratory tract, and binds itself to epithelial cells. The virus causes the cell to engulf
it by endocytosis, and then fuses to the wall of the endocytic vesicle, injecting the contents of the
virus into the cytosol of the cell. The RNA of the virus enter the nucleus of the cell, and spur the
creation of new copies of the genes. These genes, as well as new viral proteins that are created in
the cell, leave the cell as fresh viruses, budding off the plasma membrane of the cell.
While Scientists still do not know a great deal about the communicability of influenza, they do know
that it can be spread by human to human contact, and has some airborne stability. (Silverstein: 59)
Specifically, the characteristics of the influenza at Fort Dix was extremely discouraging. First of all,
it was very similar to the 1918 swine influenza A pandemic, which turned out to be one of the most
lethal outbreaks of disease in recorded history, and one victim had already died. Also, while usually
this disease is caused by exposure to pigs, it was obvious that this was the
Analysis Of Julia Ryan s Essay
For most students college is considered the capstone of education; to reach that stage students
construct a non real essay that has no real world implications. Julia Ryan creates this essay to
inform students that college s should not be considered as an end goal of education, but instead be
used to gain more experience and branch out to learn new things, this is shown through the
ineffectiveness admission essays, relatable examples, and metaphors that are presented throughout
the essay. The first experience students have with colleges is when they are applying to one. When
they are greeted by an essay which forces them to fabricate information in hopes of being accepted,
it creates a false viewpoint on collegeitself. Students do not see the bigger picture of college and
the possibilities it offers, this is because the non applicable prompts that are given force students to:
Pretend to be something you are not (2). My perspective on this topic is similar to the idea that
Ryan tries to argue, Students need to be told that college is not the end... Show more content on

Ryan uses examples that relate to students entering college, examples that demonstrate the
ineffectiveness of a college essay. When given broad questions like What makes you happy? (2),
students automatically believe that their true response will not land them an acceptance letter. The
use of examples that students can easily relate to helps strengthen Ryan s argument by giving the
target audience a sense of relation or understanding to the author s claim. As a student myself, the
open ended question Ryan presents is something that is common; and each time students fabricate
answers that cater to the grader. This form of support help with Ryan s idea of helping students see
the real importance of
Analyze a Sociological Issue
Analyze a Sociological Issue Social Inequality and Minorities in the United States 10/24/2010 In
this course I have learned about different social problems in societies worldwide. Some of these
include poverty, social inequality, discrimination of race and culture, urbanization, and more.
After learning all these subjects and more, I have decided to do my final on social inequality and
minorities in the United States. I chose this particular topic because I have seen this in almost
every place have lived. I find it appalling that minorities are still not treated 100% equal. We as
Americans know what inequality is and know how it is used in our everyday society. I want to
explore this topic and show how real and big this... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They have had to deal with numerous inequalities throughout time. After slavery they were not
given equal rights. There were many rights rallies and according to the statistics, they are still not
receiving equal pay. There used to be restaurants that would not serve a person of color and they
were even told they could only sit in the back of buses. Though we have overcome most of this
we have not overcome hate crimes. Every group has encountered unequal or cruel treatment
based on nothing more than a characteristic about them. Though the hate crime rate had dropped
in 2007 there was a rise of anti gay crime. Now with the new election the hate crime rate has risen
again. This shows the problem is not diminishing and that we need to find a way to get this under
control. Criminal justice is another area of social inequality for minorities in the U.S. Getting a
fair trial is difficult is one is accused of a crime that is a stereotype. If a minority is accused of
rape, murder, theft, assault, or many other crimes, it may be hard to get a fair trial if the jury basis
the evidence against stereotypes. Another aspect to this is that minorities are not given as many
options as others. If they are in lower income areas, have less education or just less options general
their chances of living a life of crime is high. Our human instincts

Laboratory Test: There are several blood tests that can diagnosis Rheumatoid arthritis but the most
common ones are: Rheumatoid factor (RF): Rheumatoid factor is an antibody that is present
eventually in the blood of most people with rheumatoid arthritis (3). Not all people with rheumatoid
arthritis test positive for rheumatoid factor, and some people test positive for rheumatoid factor, yet
never develop the disease(3). Rheumatoid factor also can be positive in some other diseases;
however, a positive RF in a person who has symptoms consistent with those of rheumatoid arthritis
can be useful in confirming a diagnosis. Furthermore, high levels of rheumatoid factor are associated
with more severe rheumatoid arthritis (3). Anti CCP antibodies: This blood test detects antibodies to
cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti CCP) (3). This test is positive in most people with rheumatoid
arthritis and can even be positive years before rheumatoid arthritis symptoms develop (4). When used
with the RF, this test s results are very useful in confirming a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis (3).
Rheumatoid arthritis can occur in all races and ethnic groups. Although the disease often begins in
middle age and
Male And Female Or Man And Woman
Introduction:
Male and female or man and woman, are terms that are used to show different genders. Apart from
the physical differences, each gender, according to our social definition, have different roles.
Generally, men have the more masculine, more physical, roles, while women tend to do better in
the nurturing, care taking, tasks. These roles have become norms that have been set by the
society. It is expected of men to be working at all times, they are expected to be the bread winners,
while women are expected to take care of home tasks, such as raising the children or cooking.
These norms might alternate in some cases, but most people would agree on these as being the
standards. In our Vicks ad When They Breath Easier, So You Can , a man is shown to be taking care
of what appears to be his child, which is opposite of what we believe to be the norms.
Target Audience:
This ad could be targeting either gender. However, the fact that it is showing a male doing the
nurturing role must have a reason behind it. As we notice in the bottom right corner of the ad there
is an NFL, National Football League, logo. In addition to the logo, it says that Vicks is the official
sponsor of NFL. Now it becomes clear that this ad is meant to target football fans, as it is
specifically produced to be shown at the NFL. It is generally known that a sport such as football is
more popular within males, much more than females. Such a product, like Vicks VapoRub, is known
to help children with
