Particles In Atoms Research Paper
Particles in Atoms
The following section will be describing the atom and all of the particles that make it up. It will
start off with what protons, neutrons, and electrons are. This will describe where they are in the
atom and what their relative sizes respective one another are. This section will end off with the
charges of all of these particles and the total number of all of these particles for every element
inside of the carbon family. The entire section will be based off of the particles that make up an atom
and more details about them such as their location.
The atom, which is the basic unit of life, is made up different types of particles which are protons,
neutrons, and electrons. The proton is a stable subatomic particle that is located in the nucleus of an
atom. A neutron is quite similar to a proton in the sense that they are both subatomic particles of very
similar masses and almost always located in the nucleus. Neutrons are found in the nucleus most of
the time except for in ordinary hydrogen which does not contain any. An electron is also a stable
subatomic particle but it is found in the shells or orbitals which surround the nucleus of an atom. As
for the size of these particles protons and neutrons are roughly the same size in mass, with the proton
being slightly lighter, while an electron weighs about two thousand times less than protons and
neutrons. Both the protons and neutrons make up most of the of the mass of the atom in the nucleus
while the electrons on the outskirts are much lighter and smaller. Considering the charges of the
particles, the proton has a positive electric charge. A neutron on the other hand has no charge and is
neutral. The last ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Comparing the Personalities and Values of Steve Jobs and...
How did Jobs early years, prior to Apple, influence his view about human nature, work, and
assumptions about employees? Please provide specific examples that support your answer. Jobs
early years, prior to Apple influenced his view of life. Concerning human nature, Jobs believed that
human being were spiritual beings. It is ones responsibility to find the inner spirit, be enlightened to
attain inner peace this enhanced personal growth. He believed that unless one did this, they would
be controlled by their circumstances, the situation in which they found themselves. One is able to
take control of their thought process and view of life. He realized that an intuitive understanding
and consciousness was more significant than abstract thinking and intellectual logical analysis,
(Issacson, 2011, p. 37). His trip to India magnified this perception as he realized that people in
Indian countryside did not use their intellect as those in the America, instead they used their
intuition. He considered intuition as more powerful than intellect. Steve Jobs early experiences at
his father s garage informed his attitude towards work. To him the key reasons for work were to get
money, adventure, it had to be interesting. He had an attitude that he could do anything, there was
nothing like no in his work vocabulary. What caught his eye while searching for his first jobs was
the Have fun, make money, advertisement on the San Jose Mercury (Issacson, 2011, p. 42). Issacson

3-4 Abt Analysis
As Coalition Forces prepare to transition from major combat operations to stability operations within
the Philippines, the 3/4 ABCT must determine which cities within the Pangasinan province, its
assigned area of operations (AO), to prioritize stability tasks. Specifically, the cities of Bayambang,
Dagupan, Lingayen, Malasiqui, San Carlos, and Urdaneta are of particular interest. After careful
analysis of each city s Sewer, Water, Electricity, Academics, Transportation, Medical, and Security
(SWEAT MS) disposition, the recommend priority of effort should go first to Malasiqui, then
Urdaneta and Bayambang. Remaining 3 4 ABCT resources should prioritize efforts toward San

Mexican Border Wall Research Paper
I will be talking to you about President Trump s executive order on building the Mexican border
wall. The Mexican border wall is an executive order President Trump released stating that he is
going to build a 2012 kilometer long wall sealing off the entire US Mexican border. This relates to
this quarter s topic on how the branches are in action because the executive branch is giving an
order. This is important because the construction of the wall will have many negative impacts on the
world. I will talk about the economic, employment and environmental impact the construction of the
border wall will have on the US and the world. The first thing the construction of the wall will
impact is the economy. As most of us know today, the US is trillions... Show more content on

As we know global warming is a very important issue that we all have been aware of. E E News
says that the production of cement, a major material that is going to be used in the construction of
the wall, is a large source of greenhouse gas emissions. Trump tweeted in 2012 that The concept of
global warming was created by the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non competitive.
There are many things that are going to happen if global warming keeps raging on. The NSIDC
states that when the Arctic Ice melts there will be an increase of 20 feet in sea level. Now we
come to the fact of hurricanes. In 2009, there was 10 recorded hurricanes that happened all across
the world. In 2015, there was 38 recorded hurricanes. The reason for the sudden increase is because
global warming is making the sea water warmer causing more hurricanes. The reason why people are
most afraid of global warming is because of the increase in the temperature. NASA states that the
temperature will rise 3°C in the next century. According to the NOAA (National Oceanic
Atmospheric Administration) our current average temperature is 22.6°C. As predicted if Donald
Trump builds the wall, then the carbon emissions will increase faster making the world warmer.
Scientists say that if Trump builds the wall it will increase faster and faster. They predict that in
7500 years the average world temperature will rise to 100°C. If it does reach this temperature then
it will be hot enough to boil the oceans and seas which will make them evaporate and make water
Post Conquest Mexico Essay
In 1521, the fall of Tenochtitlan proved to be an integral piece in the Spanish conquest of Mexico.
After months of devastating warfare between the Aztecs and the Spanish as well as the infection of
smallpox into the Aztec population, the Spanish conquered New Spain (Mexico) as their own,
resulting in the Spanish occupation and rebuilding of Tenochtitlan. The reshaping of the city was
an arduous and complex feat to say the least, as Hernan Cortés faced many challenges following
the satisfying victory of the conquest. In order to determine these various challenges involved in
post conquest Mexico, one must assess the various feats Cortés struggled through as well as Carlos
I s attempts to deal with the chaos in Mexico. The most decisive endeavours that the Spaniards faced
included: fixing a city of ruins, incorporating the indigenous peoples into society, and creating a
Christian basis throughout the land. Thus, post conquest Mexico faced a magnitude of challenges
based on the socio political, religious, and economic values necessary to conceive their perfect image

The significance in solving the problems of rebuilding Tenochtitlan, bringing the natives into the
Spanish homelands, and creating a Christian society in New Spain were integral to the initial
success of the Spanish colonies. Cortés and Carlos I were key players in the promotion of the goals
of the Spanish empire in creating a New Spain that is admired among the Spanish people. Overall,
the chaos and lack of order among the initial framework of New Spain was easily overcome as the
communal effort of the Spaniards led to the creation of their empire through rebuilding a city from
ruins after the conquests. In closing, Cortés was a great leader in the conquest of Mexico and
hurdled over the many obstacles facing New Spain for the good of the

both from themselves and the rabbits they are leading. The desire for power in this novel is

When Fiver, Hazel s younger brother, has a vision about the warren being attacked, he
immediately sets out to tell Threarah. After Fiver and Hazel finally reach the distanced Threarah,
he ignores them. Threarah scolds them for interrupting his sleep and his patience. This decision
is important in displaying the desire for power in Threarah; he knows that if he listens to Fiver he
could lose everything. The task of moving the entire warren would not only take mounds of time
and effort, but the decision would also be Threarah s. This means that if the move was a bad
decision he could possibly lose his power. Threarah is willing to risk the lives of his entire warren
to safely retain power; he is so caught up in being power hungry that Fiver s vision eventually
becomes true and the whole warren is killed. As our first example of a power crazy leader, this

do to maintain it. The next chief rabbit that leads in his own interest is Woundwort, chief rabbit of
the Efrafa warren. After having both of his parents killed at an early age, Woundwort constructed this

Claena Sardothie Essay
How did Sarah come up with these extraordinary worlds. How did she come up with the legendary
characters like Celaena Sardothien in the Throne of Glass series. Well, Celaena kind of just
walked right into Sarah s head the moment she had the idea for the series. She also thinks that
Celaena was a by product of her love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kill Bill, Han Solo from Star
Wars, and Disney princesses. She also wanted to write/ read a book where the heroine got to do all
the fun thing that the boys usually get to do like; kick butt, kill monsters, save the world. Sarah wrote
Celaena Sardothien as a kind of morally grey character, because she wanted to write a character
with much more to her. Celaena is an assassin. She kills people for... Show more content on

She had this idea 14 years ago and in some way worked towards it. In her Throne of Glass series,
Celaena goes from an assassin to Aelin a queen. She came up with this before she put it on paper
and she know that through the first 4 books it would be that journey that would be told, Celaena
becoming Aelin. Sarah also used history while writing some parts of her stories, for example she
based the Iron Witches on the fact that witchcraft is often linked with violence against women.
Most of Sarah s inspiration comes for music, since the Throne of Glass series came from the
soundtrack of Cinderella and A Court of Thorns and Roses series came from The Princess Mononoke
soundtrack. There was this track called The Demon God, which was extremely dark and Sarah
was listening to it and she just heard Feyre s voice in her head, narrating how she was in the
snowy woods hunting, and how Feyre killed the wolf. Having this voice in her head Sarah got
curious about Feyre and wanted to learn more. With a Court of Thorns and Roses Sarah did not just
want to stick with the ordinary fairy tales, she wanted to delve into fairy tales all over the
Similarities Between The American Federation Of Labour And...
Erin Marie Magee
The Knights of Labor and the American Federation of Labor were similar in a lot of ways,
however the latter succeeded and the prior did not. These were both union organizations. They
consisted of employees bound together for common goals. Some of these goals consisted of: eight
hour work day, abolition of child labor, equal pay for equal work and income tax reforms.
However, there are some major differences. One difference is that the Knights of Labor accepted
men, women, white, black, skilled, and unskilled workers as members. The American Federation of
Labor however, only accepted skilled workers and required much higher dues. One reason for the
American Federation of Labor requiring higher dues was to sustain the member
Current Crm And Erp Systems And Procedures
We have evaluated our current CRM and ERP systems and procedures. Currently, there is a custom
module that is causing performance issues including failed registration orders. This results in
Customer Service staff having to re enter registration orders, as well additional work for Finance
staff. This custom module also creates a barrier when upgrading our ERP system.

Eliminating the custom module in our ERP system will relieve our system of these performance
issues and allow the Registration orders to be processed within another system, GoSignMeUp. This
will result in a more effective process and also allow Retail Sales to be processed differently. With
less stress on customer duplicates, our ERP system can integrate with the website web ... Show more

Since the CRM and ERP system was not built out of the box to handle registrations in any form,
CRS has used a third party application to handle those types of orders. That third party app was
clunky, slow and caused many data integrity issues.

In April 2014, we removed that application from the systems and customized a module of the ERP
system to handle registrations. This was a major improvement for our internal processes and system
performance. It put our system back to a more normal, out of the box setting, with the minor custom
configuration to an ERP module. However, there are still some issues with this custom module:

Sometimes the system does not register the participant correctly, and re invoicing has to occur
The ability to upgrade is effected we would have to remove the custom module, upgrade the system,
and reinstall an upgraded version of the custom module. This would require more development time.
The current custom module prevents us from integrating into the website which would be ideal for
streamlining the retail product order process

This report will discuss my proposal for a project of implementing an online registration and event
management system. Specifically, GoSignMeUp (GSMU). Essentially, this will separate the Retail
Sales order process and the Registration order process. This will eliminate the need for a custom
module in our existing ERP system.

GoSignMeUp vs. Custom Module

We would implement GSMU to process registration

by the NCAA to grasp the gravity of the pending case. Past: Ponzi Schemes Nevin Shapiro, the
former owner of Capitol Investments USA, Inc., is currently facing charges that he ran a $900

investors from their money (Jackson, D., 1993). It is named after Charles Ponzi, who constructed
one such scheme at the beginning of the 20th century, even though the concept was well known
prior to Ponzi (Jackson, D., 1993). On 1927, while in Boston, Charles Ponzi concocted a mail

to grow, which it will, even more jobs will become available. These job opportunities will give a
chance for people to live the so called American Dream . These jobs offer twice the average
American salary with benefits. The great thing about these jobs is that they do not demand a four

Shared Virtual Space Technologies
Introduction
The aim of this paper is focusing on discussion of some relevant topics from ISYS100 course which
enables students to learn more about the impacts of information technology on our lives and society.
The development and improvement of new technology are continuously to change and improve our
lives and some areas of industries in various ways such as education, communication and
entertainment.

In this paper I explore three types of advanced Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Tele

the ramification of these technologies on current and future life.

Augmented Reality
According to the University of Southern California (2010), Augmented Reality (AR) is a type of
virtual reality which referred to a computer generated that produces an additional environment to
enhance the real world environment and the real sensory experienced where the participant can see
and interact without distinguishing the difference between the real and augmented world.

Augmented reality vs. Virtual reality

To compare the sense of reality experienced by augmented reality and virtual reality participants,
Wu (2011) implies that in virtual reality, the participant fully realises the unrealism that they are
experiencing with the brain perceiving as if it is a true experience in a virtual world whereas
augmented reality, delivers a intermingling of real world and virtual world experiences which the
participant can sense more of reality.
Wu (2011) clearly explains the difference between them that:
Augmented reality is different from virtual reality. Virtual reality: what you see is virtual. You only
see the virtual thing. But augmented reality you re still seeing the real world. It just augments some
virtual information on top of the real world. So, it gives you actual information but didn t replace
the real world you re experiencing.

Hypoxia In South Louisiana
Hypoxia has become a large problem in the Gulf of Mexico, especially along the coast of
Louisiana. When there is a large region of water with a low oxygen level it is said to be hypoxic,
where as regions with no oxygen are anoxic (Rabalais). The Gulf of Mexico is home to the second
largest zone of costal hypoxia in the world, more specifically the continental shelf along the coast
of Louisiana (Rabalais). With this change in environment the wildlife inhabiting it have two
choices either emigrate or die(Rabalais). Both of those options lead to a wildlife dead zone which
in turn leads to a decrease in fishing, shrimping, and crabbing all of which play a major part in
south Louisiana s economy. The best way to reduce hypoxia as well as the size... Show more content

With oxygen levels in the dead zone being so low during the summer months marine life is almost
nonexistent. This not only hurts the wild life of Louisiana s coast but, also its economy and fishing

see wild life slowly but surely returning. Also there is hope for the conservation and growth of the

What Christians Mean When They Refer to Jesus as Lord

When we think of the name Lord as Christians we think of God, as he is powerful, almighty and
great. Jesus however was a human and to be called Lord is very special because no one in history
has been called that before. As Christians we would say the name Lord means miracle worker,
ruler and faithful. Jesus was mainly all these things as he performed many miracles in his life
which many different types of people benefited from which are recorded in the Gospels. Many
Jews thought of Jesus as a lord because he helped many of them; outcasts, Romans, women and the
rich ands poor and many others he helped in his life on Earth. Jesus truly was a ... Show more content

Have you still no faith? The disciples turned to one another and said,

Who is this man? Even the wind and waves obey him!

Jesus also had the power over death, which is also referred to in the Synoptic Gospels in the story
of Raising of Lazarus . When Jesus was leaving Judea he was told of one of his dear friend being
ill but was already dead, they returned to Judea even though many people attacked Jesus before in
this city. Him and his followers went to Lazarus tomb and Jesus said, Come out Lazarus , from the
darkness emerged a man wrapped in grave clothes, they untied him and there was Lazarus standing
as if nothing was wrong.

[IMAGE]As Jesus was a Jew he helped many people of his religion but didn t believe entirely that
his religion was right. In Mark s Gospel a man named Jarius who was a leader of a Synagogue in
the area confronted Jesus, he said his daughter was dying and needed help, Jesus followed him to
his house where his daughter was resting. Jesus sat by the girl and said you are only sleeping,
wake up child . The girl awoke and started walking around the room. If Jesus has the power over
death he must be a man that we can call Lord as Christians.

Jesus helped many other people with his miracle powers, even women which was a strange thing in
those times as women were thought of as unequal to men and should not be treated the same. He
