unless revised by University as it deems fit for the contract of Postdoctoral researcher to be terminated as agreed in
this contract. Besides, the funding under this contract is not subject to labor law.
2. Postdoctoral researcher shall be subject to the Advisor’s supervision, and both the Postdoctoral researcher
and the Advisor agree to comply with the provisions of this contract and the documents attached to this contract
which form a part of this contract.
3. Postdoctoral researcher in the field of (Science and Technology/Social Sciences and Humanity)

4. The stipend as indicated in Section 3 shall be payable to Postdoctoral researcher on monthly basis on the last

working day of each month. It is subject to withholding tax and other monies due by Postdoctoral researcher. It should
be noted that at the start of the contract, the faculty, college, or institute may, in some cases, be unable to pay the
stipend exactly on the last working day of the month due to processing times.
5. The stipend as indicated in Section 3 shall be payable to Postdoctoral researcher on monthly basis on
the last working day of each month. It is subject to withholding tax and other monies due by Postdoctoral researcher.
6. Postdoctoral researcher shall submit to the University a research report and a progress report, in accordance with
the form determined by the committee, every six months, until the Postdoctoral Researcher completes his/her contract.
7. The Advisor and the Postdoctoral Researcher shall submit a complete work that has been accepted for
publication or has been published in an international academic journal indexed in SJR/Scopus/ISI database,
according to the fellowship track, as specified below and in accordance with the format determined by the
committee (ANNEX 2).
7.1 Track A
7.1.1 For the fields of Science and Technology, a complete work is at least one publication in top 10
percent (Tier 1).
7.1.2 For the fields of Social Sciences and Humanity, a complete work is at least one publication in
top 25 percent (Q1).
7.2 Track B
7.2.1 For the fields of Science and Technology, a complete work is at least one publication in top 25
percent (Q1).
7.2.2 For the fields of Social Sciences and Humanity, a complete work is at least one publication in
top 50 percent (Q2).
8. The Postdoctoral Researcher shall receive a retention payment of 120,000 Baht (One hundred twenty
thousand Baht), and the Advisor shall receive a retention payment based on the funding track, amounting to
40,000/30,000 Baht (Forty thousand/thirty thousand Baht), upon publishing the agreed-upon publication as specified
in item 6 within 18 months from the contract start date. No retention payment shall be provided to the Postdoctoral
Researcher or the Advisor for any extension period from the 19th to the 24th month of the contract.
9. The University shall provide financial support to the Postdoctoral Researcher and Advisor in each funding
category as follows:

In a case where the Postdoctoral researcher whose Project is subject to another source of funding operated
by the university, an amount covering certain expenses shall be contributed to the grantor of such Project, provided
that such amount does not exceed the rate in accordance with the Notification of Chulalongkorn University.
10. The Advisor and the Postdoctoral Researcher shall open a bank account, under their own names,
in accordance with requirements specified by Chulalongkorn University, for the purpose of receiving transfers of
the financial support approved for items under this contract.
11. The Advisor and the Postdoctoral Researcher have been informed and understand the Notification of
Chulalongkorn University Re: Criteria for Granting Funding to High-Efficiency Ph.D. Candidates and High-Efficiency
Post-Doctorate Researchers of the Second Century Fund, C2F B.E. 2562 (2019) as well as the High-Potential
Postdoctoral Fellowship C2F, Fiscal year 2025, under International Growth Strategy, issued on 25th September 2024.
The Advisor and the Postdoctoral Researcher shall maintain strict compliance with such notification.
12. The Postdoctoral researcher shall assume sole responsibility for any violation of any provision of law or right
in intellectual property of a third party used by the Postdoctoral Researcher in the undertaking of research under this
contract.
13. The Postdoctoral researcher shall maintain diligence and perseverance in undertaking the research under the
Project until its completion. In a case where any obstacle has arisen whereby for any reason the research may not
proceed, the Postdoctoral researcher shall immediately report to the University in order for the University to
consider and further find a solution or action with which to proceed, as it sees appropriate. In addition, the
Postdoctoral Researcher warrants that it shall not outsource the research under the Project, whether in whole or in

part, to any person, unless the University’s prior written consent has been received.
14. The Postdoctoral Researcher shall undertake the research responsibly, considering the safety of all the
relevant persons, in accordance with the code of conducts and ethics for animal and human experiment, and the
Notification of Chulalongkorn University re: Guidelines for Administration of Health, Safety, and Environment for each
segment of operation of Chulalongkorn University in effect at the time, as may be relevant to the research
undertakings.
15. Regarding application for an extension on the funding’s contractual period, the Postdoctoral Researcher shall
explain the reasons and necessities to the University for the approval of extension on the working period. Each
application for extension shall be proposed not less than three months prior to an expiry of the period under the
contract, with each extension of the working period for which to be applied not exceeding six months.
During such extended period, the Postdoctoral Researcher shall no longer receive monthly stipend from the
University.
16. In a case where the Postdoctoral Researcher abandons the Project, or fails to comply with one or more of
the clauses of this contract, the University shall issue a notice to the Advisor and the Postdoctoral Researcher with a
/specified period …

specified period of time as appropriate for the purpose of having the Postdoctoral Researcher rectify the non-
compliance and resume his/her performance under the contract. If the Postdoctoral Researcher fails to do so within
such specified period, the University shall have the right to terminate the contract, and the Postdoctoral Researcher
consents to repay all or part of the fund, as the university views appropiate, as well as the fruits of such fund, to the
University within thirty days from the date on which the Postdoctoral Researcher receives the notice from the
University.
In a case where the Postdoctoral Researcher is no longer able to proceed with the research under the
Project, or is unable to complete the research within the working period, and wishes to terminate the research under
the funded Project, the Postdoctoral Researcher shall submit an application with supporting reasons and explanation
to the University for the approval for termination, and shall consent to repay all or part of the fund, as the University
views as appropriate, as well as the fruits of such fund, to the University within thirty days from the date on which
the Postdoctoral Researcher receives the notice from the University.
17. The complete work to be published shall comply with the form as determined by the committee. The
Postdoctoral Researcher shall also include in the acknowledgement in Thai the statement “โค ร งก า ร วิ จั ย ไ ด้ รั บ
ทุนอุดหนุนการวิจัยจากโครงการสร้างเสริมพลังจุฬาฯ ก้าวสู่ศตวรรษที่ 2 จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย”, or in English the statement
“This research project is supported by Chulalongkorn University, the Second Century Fund (C2F).”
18. Any intellectual property which is a result of this funded Project shall be under the ownership of the
University. The allocation of benefits, which are the results of the commercial use of such intellectual property, to
the Postdoctoral Researcher shall be subject to the criteria specified by the University.
19. This Contract ends when
(1) Contract term as stated in the Contract ends
(2) Death of Postdoctoral Researcher
(3) Terminated by the Postdoctoral Researcher upon advance notice to University no less than 1 month
(4) Terminated by University due to any of the following causes:
(a) performing his/her duty dishonestly or intentionally committing a criminal offence against the University;
(b) intentionally causing damage to the University;
(c) causing serious damage to the University or the function as a result of negligence;
(d) violating laws, rules or regulations or orders of the University or the function and after written warning
has been given by the University or the function, except in a serious case where the University or the
function is not required to give warning. Such written warning shall be valid for not more than one
year from the date of commission of the offence by the Postdoctoral Researcher;
(e) neglecting his or her duty without justifiable reason for three consecutive working days regardless
of whether there is a holiday in between or not;
/(f) being imprisoned…

(f) being imprisoned by a final judgment of imprisonment with the exception for offenses arising out
of negligence or for petty offenses;
(g) not complying with this Contract or not performing the assigned duty;
(5) Terminated by any party prior to the expiry of its term or completion of the project upon a written
advance notice to the other party no less than 30 days,
(6) Terminated by University due to Postdoctoral Researcher’s serious behavior or neglecting his or her
duty without justifiable reason or committing disciplinary action and being dismissed as a result.
20. The parties agree that all attachments signed by the parties to this Contract are part of this Contract with
which Postdoctoral Researcher agrees to comply in all aspects.

consisting of five (5) pages.
Annex 4: High-Potential Postdoctoral Fellowship by Chulalongkorn University, the Second Century Fund (C2F)
Fiscal Year 2025 under International Growth Strategy, consisting of nine (9) pages.
Regarding any provision in the attachment which may contradict or contravene the content of this contract,
the content of this contract shall prevail. In a case where the content of the attachment may contradict itself,
the Postdoctoral Researcher shall comply with the decision of the University, and the Decision of the University
shall be deemed final.
This contract has been made and executed in three (3) duplicates. The content of each duplicate is
identical. The three parties have read and understood the details of the contract, and have herein given their
signatures before the witnesses. Each party has received one (1) duplicate.
