5. Methodology:
1. Preparation and Cleaning:
Thoroughly clean the borehole to remove any debris, mud, or loose materials that may
interfere with proper packing.
The entire surface is cleaned using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, dirt, and any loose
particles.
If the concrete surface has laitance (a weak, dusty layer), it is removed by mechanical
methods such as grinding.
2. Crack treatment
• If any cracks are observed after surface preparation on RCC, cut “V” groove and grout in the
crack by gravity method with non-shrink free flow CONBEXTRA GP2 in the ratio of 0.16 of
water.

3. Honeycomb Packing Treatment:
If any honey combs are observed pack it with CONBEXTRA GP2
4. Pipe Placement:
Position the pipe at the center of the borehole using a beaker rod adjusted to the bottom of the
slab to ensure stability and alignment.
All the pipes are made rough along the periphery of the pipe and pipes to be placed inside the
core cut areas appropriately.
5. Bore Packing Process:
Conduct bore packing using CONBEXTRA GP2, ensuring a minimum offset is
maintained between the slab and the pipe.
This allows the chemical to fill the gap properly, ensuring proper bonding.
Leave the packed bore to dry for 12 hours.

Coving:
Chipping the junction of coving to removing the loose slurry. Apply one coat of
Nitobond SBR Latex as a primer (1 SBR: 1 Water: 3 Cement).
For an perpendicular joints, apply perform coving using Cement mortar (1:4) of
75mm x 75mm size with 20mm aggregates in addition with integral waterproofing
compound Conplast WL Xtra @200ml per bag of cement and fixing nozzles( PVC
Pipe/Level Pipe) for pressure Grout using cement slurry admixed with non-shrink
admixture Cebex 100 250gm/bag of cement. Consider spacing of the nozzles should
be 800mm to 1000mm c/c .
6. Water Pounding Test:
After 12 hours of drying, conduct a 48-hour water pounding test to check for any
leakages.
If leakages are observed, pressure grouting should be carried out before proceeding
further.
7. Pressure grouting
• Do cementitious pressure grouting areas by drilling 12mm dia hole
and fixing the PVC pipe of 10mm with renderoc plug.
• If it is uncontrolled(not arrest) in cementitious grouting kindly
proceed with the PU grouting(if necessary)
• Add cebex100 @ 250 gms / bag of cement, maintain w/c ratio of 0.5
while grouting. Use 40 PSI hand pumping machine. Grout into voids
till rejection. Cut the PVC pipes after 24 hours and pack with repair
mortar.
• Again water on the floor should remain stagnant for another 24hrs
to trace out any unseen leaks.
8. Primer Application:
Once the surface is prepared, a primer is applied to help the waterproofing
material adhere properly.
Apply single coat of Nitoproof WB primer to the prepared substrate by spreading
with a squeegee at the minimum rate of 8-10 m2/Ltr with brush/Roller and allow
to cure for at least 2-4 hours.
Primer coat is laid over the coving up to 300 mm.

9. Application of Waterproofing Membrane
Then apply the Nitoproof 600 PF using roller over the “tack free” primer at coverage
of 2 Kg/m2 in Two coats with 10-12 hrs gap between the coats.
Second coat is applied in a perpendicular direction to the first coat.
Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours to avoid curing issues.
At final coat sprinkle the sand on sides of the wall to create bonding between
protective plaster and
PU coat
Membrane should be Air curing for a minimum of 24hrs @25c before placing
protection.
10. Protective Plastering and slope preparation.
For bottom (slab area):
protective geo-textile layer (120gsm) is laid over the
waterproofing layer to act as a separator and
protection layer
Laying of protective and slope making screed
concrete over the coating including the admixture of
Conplast WL Xtra @ 200ml per bag of cement and
additionally mixed with Recorn 3s fibres of
0.9kg/m3 Use M20 screed followed slope towards
drain.
Coving
After screed laying for an perpendicular joints, apply
perform coving using Cement mortar (1:4) of 75mm
x 75mm size in addition with integral waterproofing
compound Conplast WL Xtra @200ml per bag of
cement. The shape of the coving to be made in
concave.
11. Final Water Pounding Test:
o Conduct a 48-hour test with min of 50-75mm depth.
o If any leaks observed after final ponding do PU based pressure grouting
from the negative side.
o After completion of final ponding test from the Quality team
with no issues, pack the bottom of the pipe with Renderoc
plug.

12. Curing
Cure the waterproof area for 3 days.
13. Groove cutting and sealent filling:
The grooves to be made about 6mm X 10mm size at 4m X 4m intervals and filling
the same with weather resistant PU sealant (Fosroc Nitoseal PU 40N).
SAFETY
All personnel must wear PPE including safety helmets, high-visibility vests, gloves,
safety boots, and goggles.
Ensure proper barricading and signage around freshly placed concrete areas.
Only trained workers should operate vibrating and groove cutting equipment.
Avoid direct skin contact with wet concrete to prevent chemical burns.
Maintain clean workspaces, avoiding any loose wires or tripping hazards.
Enforce restricted access to screeded areas until after the curing period (minimum
