Muzakki Tugas Arkl 9

The document outlines the calculation of Cr VI intake from fish consumption for adult males, adult females, and children, revealing significant health risks. All groups have Hazard Quotient (HQ) values exceeding 1, indicating non-carcinogenic health risks associated with daily fish consumption. Immediate intervention is recommended to mitigate these risks, such as reducing fish intake or eliminating chromium sources.

The following steps calculate the intake of Cr VI (hexavalent chromium) from daily fish

consumption and determine the non-carcinogenic health risks to three population groups:
adult males, adult females, and children.

Step 1: Known Data

Cr VI Concentration in fish:

• • Tenggiri: 0.829 µg/g = 0.829 mg/kg

• • Kaci-kaci: 0.799 µg/g = 0.799 mg/kg

Step 2: Exposure Formula

Intake = (C × IR × EF × ED) / (BW × AT)

Step 3: Intake Calculations

Adult Males:

Intake = ((0.829 × 0.133) + (0.799 × 0.267)) × 365 × 30 / (55 × 10950) ≈ 0.00589

mg/kg/day

Adult Females:

Intake = ((0.829 × 0.1) + (0.799 × 0.2)) × 365 × 30 / (55 × 10950) ≈ 0.00442 mg/kg/day

Children:

Intake = ((0.829 × 0.05) + (0.799 × 0.1)) × 350 × 6 / (22 × 2190) ≈ 0.00529 mg/kg/day

Step 4: Risk Characterization

RfD (Reference Dose) for Cr VI = 0.003 mg/kg/day
HQ = Intake / RfD

Summary Table
Group Intake (mg/kg/day) HQ
Adult Males 0.00589 1.96
Adult Females 0.00442 1.47
Children 0.00529 1.76

Conclusion
Since all Hazard Quotient (HQ) values are greater than 1, the exposure to Cr VI through
daily fish consumption poses a non-carcinogenic health risk for all groups — men, women,
and children. Therefore, the risk is considered unacceptable and indicates the need for
immediate intervention, such as reducing fish consumption or eliminating the chromium
source.
