Introduction

Renderly:

Good Morning, Everyone! Welcome to the orientation Program of Aklan State University-
College of Teacher education, MAEd Science Teaching.

Jerold:
And welcome to a day of action, reflection, and purpose! This is “MA-Educate in
Tangalan: Nurturing Nature, Inspiring the Future” where we don’t just talk about change,
we become the change.
Renderly:
Today, we are not just participants—we are eco-champions, community leaders, and
educators shaping the world one seed, one step, one decision at a time.
Jerold:
Together, we’ll clean, plant, and protect. We’ll listen, learn, and lead. We’ll turn this
ordinary day into an extraordinary movement for a cleaner, greener future—not just for
Tangalan, but for every place we call home.
Renderly:
So, I hope you came ready, ready to get your hands dirty for a cause, ready to grow
something that lasts, and ready to inspire others by simply showing up and taking part.
Jerold:
By the way I am Mr. Jerold R. Vasquez.
Renderly:
And I am Ms. Renderly S. Rodrigo
Together:
We are your host for today’s event.

[8:00 – 8:15 AM | Preliminaries]

Renderly:
Let us begin by inviting everyone to stand for a prayer, to be played via recorded audio.
Jerold: And please remain standing for the singing of National Anthem, also via recorded
audio.
(Audio plays)
Jerold:
And now, to officially open this inspiring day, let us hear a message of welcome from
someone whose passion for science education and environmental awareness continues
to move us forward.
Please join me in welcoming Mr. Aivan B. Bantigue, MAEd – Science Teaching Student.
Let’s give him a warm round of applause!
(Welcome Remarks)

Renderly:
Thank you, Sir Aivan, for that inspiring message! At this point, before we move into the
hands-on part of our program, it’s important that we all know what to do, where to go,
and how to do it safely and responsibly.
Jerold:
So, to guide us through the do’s and don’ts, the flow of our activities, and a few friendly
reminders for a smooth and successful day, we now proceed with our brief orientation.
Please give your full attention as we welcome our dedicated partner in this initiative.
Let’s all give a warm round of applause to Mr. Sherwyn E. Teodosio, Project Manager
of DENR’s Mechanized and Modernized Forest Nursery.
Sir Sherwyn, the floor is yours!
Renderly:
Thank you so much, Sir Sherwyn E. Teodosio, for that clear, insightful, and practical
orientation. Your guidance reminds us that environmental work isn’t just about what we
do it’s also about how we do it with care, with respect, and with purpose.

[8:46 – 11:45 AM | Clean-up Drive, Potting of seedlings, and Tree Planting

Jerold:
Now I think that we’re all set and ready—let’s roll up our sleeves and start the Clean-up
Drive until 10:45 am. Let’s remember: every piece of trash we pick up is a step toward
a cleaner, greener Tangalan. Let’s make it count!
Renderly:
At 10: 46 am, we will have the potting of seedlings, followed by tree planting at 11: 21
am. And after that we will wrap up the morning session with the awarding certificate at
11: 46 am.
(Proceed with activity; Emcees roam and encourage participants)

[11:46 – 12:00 PM | Awarding of Certificate]

Jerold: To all our participants, we did it! We’ve successfully completed our three core
activities: The clean-up drive, Potting of Seedlings and the tree planting. What an
amazing and meaningful experience that was! And because of the kindly give yourselves
a big round of applause.
Renderly:
Now, before we move to our final segment, we would like to take a moment to recognize
someone who played a key role in making today’s activity not only possible but
purposeful. At this point, may we call on Dr. Cherryl C. Malonisio, Instructor for SCI
202 Earth & Environmental Science, to present the certificate.
Jerold:
Let us now present this Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Sherwyn E. Teodosio,
Project Manager of DENR’s Mechanized and Modernized Forest Nursery, for sharing his
time, expertise, and unwavering support in guiding us through today’s orientation and
environmental activities. But before that let me read to you the citation of the
certificate…
[Pause for photo opportunity]

Renderly:
Sir Sherwyn, please accept our heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the entire group. Thank
you, Sir, for being with us and inspiring us to take environmental action seriously and
joyfully. Let’s give him another warm round of applause!
Jerold:
And with that, we officially conclude the first part of our program. We hope the morning
has inspired, energized, and grounded you in our purpose.

afternoon session will begin at exactly 12:46 PM, and the program will promptly start at
