RATAN TATA: DOCUMENTARY
Since he is no more but his good works are still there, and also that it is non-
fiction, so why can’t we take up some important notes from the book and
narrate it by any narrator (who would become a cast) and then show all that by
also adding real life clip.
synopsis
TITLE: Hooked (can be changed)
Time: 5 minutes

Synopsis: This documentary explorers the life of a young adult who is very
much into social media content creation and his aim is to be one of those
influencers that everyone admires on Instagram.

The story begins with the boy creating an insta account marking the beginning
of his influencer journey. He keeps posting videos every day and slowly starts
gaining positive attention from the comments and starts getting a good amount
of likes on his posts he even manages to gain a sponsorship for a famous brand.
As the story progresses, the boy starts becoming more and more popular. One of
his videos goes viral on Insta/Tik Tok which skyrockets his fame.
Slowly The Boy starts getting obsessed with the popularity that social media
brings him. He gets his dopamine from the likes and comments he receives on
his insta.
This popularity brings jarring change in the boy. Once kind, shy and genuine the
boy now becomes self-obsessed, mean, egotistical and vain. He becomes
disconnected with his friends and family to the point where all his friends leave
him and he barely talks to his parents thinking they're too 'uncool' to understand
his profession.
His personal life starts falling apart but his online presence still portrays him as
perfect.

As his life progresses, he begins getting online hate, the hate and bullying gets
so strong that it starts seeping into his personal life. He becomes depressed and
anxious and now realises that he has nobody in real Life to support him. His
mental health keeps getting worse and worse to the point that he starts hating
being online.

In the end he ends up deleting his social media account. He reflects on what he
has lost and the friends he's never going to get back. He works on repairing his
relationship with his family and gets therapy for the psychological effects all
these events had on him…

Conclusion: “Fame isn’t what it seems. Real life is measured by moments, not
metrics.”

Themes that can be discussed:

• The illusion of a perfect life portrayed on social media.
• Validation and Self Worth
• Isolation because of social media
• Depression and declining mental health
• Cyberbullying
