Centre of Excellence - Artificial Intelligence
The Centre of Excellence - Artificial Intelligence (AI) at KR Mangalam University is dedicated to
fostering innovation and research in the rapidly evolving field of AI. The centre is equipped with state-
of-the-art infrastructure and a team of experienced faculty members, all working together to create an
environment conducive to both learning and research. It aims to bridge the gap between academic
knowledge and practical applications by offering a blend of theoretical understanding and hands-on
experiences. Students and researchers at the Centre are exposed to cutting-edge AI technologies,
including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with the
goal of producing graduates who are well-equipped to lead in AI-driven industries.
The Centre also plays a pivotal role in collaborative research, industry partnerships, and the
development of real-world AI applications. It organizes workshops, internship, seminars, and
hackathons to engage students with current AI trends and challenges. Through these initiatives, the
Centre nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, ensuring that students are not
only prepared for the future but are also equipped to contribute meaningfully to the AI landscape. By

BIG DATA AND DATA SCIENCE SUMMER
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Big Data and Data Science Summer Internship Program, organized in collaboration with CDAC
Noida, is a comprehensive, hands-on training initiative designed to equip students and aspiring
professionals with practical skills in data handling, analysis, and interpretation. This program provides
in-depth exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Python, and machine learning
algorithms, with real-world data projects that simulate industry scenarios. Participants will gain a strong
understanding of the data science lifecycle—from data collection to model deployment—while
enhancing their critical thinking and decision-making abilities. As a valuable credential, all successful
participants will receive a NASSCOM certification, boosting their employability and preparing them
for roles in analytics, data engineering, and research across various industries.
Outcomes
Hands-on Experience with Big Data Tools: Interns will gain practical exposure to tools and frameworks
like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive, enabling them to process and manage large-scale datasets effectively.
Proficiency in Data Science Programming: Participants will develop strong programming skills in
Python and R, focusing on data cleaning, visualization, and applying machine learning models.
Real-World Project Development: Interns will work on live or simulated industry projects, applying
theoretical knowledge to solve real-world data problems, enhancing their problem-solving and analytical
skills.
Understanding of the Data Science Lifecycle: Students will learn the end-to-end process of data science,
from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and evaluation.
Improved Employability and Career Readiness: The internship will help participants build a strong
portfolio, boost their resumes, and prepare for roles like Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Junior Data
Scientist.
Assessment and Certification:
The training for the Big Data and Data Science Summer Internship Program will be conducted by
C-DAC, Noida, a premier R&D organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
C-DAC and Centre of Excellence AI, K.R Mangalam University will be responsible for evaluating
participants through a series of assignments, quizzes, and project work designed to assess both
conceptual understanding and practical application of the subject matter.

The course fee for the Big Data and Data Science Summer Internship Program is ₹2000, which includes
