Grade 10 students of Dipaculao National High School and inferring from surveys and past
research several factors such as the physical condition of the school, teacher-student
relationship, peer group interaction, academic pressure and availability of support systems.
The findings revealed that: Most students feel safe and secure in school and have supportive
relationships with teachers and classmates. However, many students report stress and anxiety
concerning workload and academic expectations. Some respondents said they felt
overwhelmed, and just a handful said they had been bullied and couldn't find mental health
help. Generally positive aspects of school life (e. g. inclusion policies, positive teacher
emotional well-being.
Conclusions
School environment has a crucial impact on students' mental health, the study suggests, and a
supportive, safe and inclusive atmosphere can be instrumental in reducing stress and
emotional disruption and resilience among students. At the same time, harmful influences on
mental well-being, such as bullying, lack of support, and academic overload, negatively affect
student mental health. There is an excellent relationship between school physical and mental
health outcomes and the quality of the school environment. It is critical that these factors are
addressed to ensure a healthier and more productive learning environment for students.

Recommendations
All schools should provide access to mental health services (psychology and counselling) for
dealing with students' emotional problems.
Teachers should be ' trained ' to detect signs of mental distress, and put in place a more
emotionally supportive classroom.
That 's why it is very important to have policies and campaigns in place against bullying so
that school life is safe and respectful.
School administration should look at the academic load and make sure students have time to
relax and engage in extracurricular activities.
Programs that support peer contacts and/or mentorship should be encouraged to create a well-
rounded social support system among students.
Report on students’ mental health, school climate with surveys and assessments periodically.
Because by adopting these strategies the school can greatly enhance the mental health of its
students, which can ultimately enhance their performance in both academics and life.

random sampling so that different students from different sections could be included.
The number of respondents was based on the number of students in Grade 10 and how
many we could realistically survey within the given time. The results show that 98
percent of the Grade 10 student is being affected by the school environment that
causes the factors that affecting their studies and attitudes towards others. 25 Student
