POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
LL.M. in
Regulation and Governance
1-Year Master’s Program

The economic liberalisation process in India resulted in the emergence of

independent statutory institutions regulating almost all areas of economic
activity. The emergence of these bodies having legislative, executive, and
quasi-judicial powers makes the current legal education curriculum wanting
and even outdated.

Similarly, sustainable development is the pivot around which much of the

policy making is happening today, without reference to which, the study of
many branches of law remains incomplete. Regulation of technology is
another emerging area that has not yet received much academic attention
from a legal perspective.

The LL.M. in Regulation and Governance at the Sai University School of Law
will bring these important areas into focus.

The LL.M. in Regulation and Governance aims to produce academic leaders

for the 21st century with a firm footing in law and regulation, an
interdisciplinary outlook in this vast area, and cutting-edge research skills.

In addition, it offers the opportunity to further specialize in one of three

clusters, ie. infrastructure and sustainability, corporate and financial
regulations, or technology law and policy.

Why LL.M. in Regulation and Governance in SaiU?

Designed with cutting-edge courses on Regulation that are not offered in most of the Law Schools in India.

Foundation and specialisation courses to give a thorough exposure to regulation and governance with an
option to specialise through optional courses.

Students are fully supported through their dissertations to provide a strong foundation for future academic
pursuits.

M.A. in
Public Policy
(Specialisation in Technology, Law and Policy)

The Two–Year Master’s program in Public Policy with a specialization in Technology, Law and Policy is
designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to address the complex policy
challenges facing society today.

The integration of technology and the increasing demand for sustainable energy sources present unique
policy challenges that require innovative solutions. This program provides students with a comprehensive
understanding of the intersection between public policy, allowing them to develop strategies and policies
that address these challenges.

Through a combination of theoretical and practical coursework, students will explore the legal, economic,
social, and political implications of technology or energy and climate policies. They will gain a deep
understanding of policy analysis, advocacy, and implementation, as well as the development of
evidence-based policy recommendations.

Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for careers in government, non-profit organizations,
International organizations, consulting fims, and the private sector, where they can make a meaningful
impact on society by developing and implementing innovative policy solutions.
