d) If Sadek travels whole distance with half acceleration instead of the mentioned acceleration, the he

9. A boy moves with 50 cms-1 and traverse 2 m distance in the first second.
c) Calculate the acceleration of the body. Ans: 3 ms-2
d) Explain mathematically how much time it will take to traverse next 1 m. Ans: 0.2567 s

10. Starting from rest, the velocity of a train, moving with uniform acceleration, became 30 ms-1
after 1 minute. After that the train travelled 250 m distance with uniform velocity, then the driver
used brake and before going to rest the train passed 125 m distance with uniform retardation.

11. The distance of school from Fahim’s house is 1.8 km. While going to school he goes from rest
with uniform acceleration of 0.5 ms-2 in the first 20 s, then with uniform velocity in the next 2.5
minutes and becomes static at the last 40 s with uniform deceleration by bicycle. [RB-2021]
c) What distance is crossed by Fahim in the first 1 min? Ans: 500 m
d) Will Fahim reach the school within that times mentioned in the stem? Give your opinion with
mathematical analysis. Ans: Yes. (since, Total distance travelled by Fahim is 1800 m)

12. A runner start journey from rest with an acceleration of 0.05ms-2 for the specific destination of
150 m. Another runner start journey with the same destination, 50 m ahead of the 1st runner with

b) After what distance travelled by the 2nd runner the velocity of the both runners will be same. Ans: 80 m

13. Distance between two position 'A' and 'B' is 1 km. Joni moves with uniform velocity 10 ms-1
from 'A' position to 'B' position. Roni start his journey from the same position, same time and same
direction with velocity 15 ms-1 and acceleration 2ms-2. Roni reached to 'B' position and takes 30
second rest. Then he starts again his journey with uniform velocity 5 ms-1 towards to 'A' position.
c) Determine how many time passing Roni gains 45 m/s velocity. Ans: 15s
d. Whether is it possible or not to meet Joni and Roni according to the stem? Analyze mathematically.

14. A car moving with 54 kmh-1 velocity stopped in 4 s, when the driver pressed the break. Again
another car running with 18 kmh-1 velocity stopped in 8 s as the driver pressed the break slowly.
c. Determine the length of the first car if it passes 444m long bridge at uniform speed in 30s. Ans: 6 m
d. Which car will pass more distance after pressing the break? Analyze mathematically. Ans: 1st Car

15. An object starts running from rest with uniform acceleration and travels 50 m distance in 5
second.

16. A blind man standing in the footpath for crossing the road. For catching the blind man Shafiq

d. If the car is 100 meter away from the blind man, then whether it is possible in case of Shafiq to

17. An object starts moving from rest with 2 ms-2 uniform acceleration for 5 second. Then the object
moves with uniform velocity for 5 second. After that it travels 10 second with 2 ms-2 uniform
acceleration.
c) Calculate travelled distance by the object in 1st 5 second. Ans: 25 m
d) Draw a velocity-time graph according to the stem.

18. A Train running with 4 ms-2 uniform acceleration. After leaving the station the Train travels 240
m distance in 10 s. After that the train moves with uniform velocity for 20 s.
c) Determine the initial velocity of the Train at the time of leaving the station. Ans: 4 ms-1
d) Calculate the travelled distance by the Train in 1st 20 second after leaving the station. Ans: 680 m

19. An object is travelling with uniform acceleration starting from rest. The object traverses 1 Km
in 6 munities. Then the object covers 2 Km distance with uniform velocity.

20. A Car is moving 108 kmh-1 . After seeing a boy at a distance 100 m, the driver pushes the

21. The driver of a private car moving with a velocity of 10 ms -1 and acceleration of 2.5 ms-2 sees a
bus coming from the opposite direction in the same lane from a distance of 238 m. After 4 seconds,
he applies the brakes and starts to decelerate at a rate equal to the acceleration. The driver of the
bus moving with a velocity of 12 ms-1 applies the brakes as soon as he sees the private car and starts
to decelerate at a rate of 0.75 ms-2.
c) Determine the distance covered by the private car in the third second after applying the brakes. Ans: 13.75 m
d) Will both the drivers be able to avoid the accident? Analyze mathematically.
Ans: Will be able. (The two cars will cover a total of 236 m)

22. A car travels 97.5 m in the first three seconds and 52.5 m in the next three seconds.
c) Determine the acceleration and initial velocity of the car in the light of the stem. Ans: -5 ms-2 and 40 ms-1
d) If the acceleration remains unchanged, how much distance will the object cover in the third three
seconds? Ans: 7.5 m (S9-S6)

23. A cadet moves from North to South with Velocity 40 kmh-1 in 15 s, then he moves towards the
East with velocity 60 kmh-1 in 30 s and again he moves towards the west with velocity 50 kmh -1 in
20 s.
c) Find out the displacement travelled by the cadet. Ans: 277.78 m
d) Which one is greater among the average speed and average velocity throughout the journey? Explain
mathematically. Ans: Average Speed is greater( Avg. Speed=14.53 ms-1, Avg. Velocity=4.27 ms-1)

24. Jahid runs at the speed 6 ms-1. Maruf runs 15% faster than Jahid.
c. By what distance does Maruf beat in a 100m race?
d. Analyze the velocity of Maruf, so that he beats Jahid in 100m race through a time 1 second.

25. Object 'A' is moving from a stationary position with a uniform acceleration of 5 ms-2 and object
'B' is moving in the same direction from 30 m behind with a uniform velocity of 108 km/h.
a) After how much time from the start of the journey will the velocities of the two objects be equal? Ans: 6 s
b) Can the two objects meet more than once on their journey? Analyze mathematically. Ans: Yes(1.1 s, 10.9s)

26. A bus starts moving from a stationary position with a uniform acceleration of 3 ms-2. A
motorcyclist starts moving from 126 m behind on the same road with a uniform velocity of 30 ms-1.
a) Determine after how much time from the start of the journey, the velocities of the bus and the
motorcycle will be equal? Ans: 10 s
b) Mathematically analyze how many times the bus and the motorcycle will meet on the journey.

27. A private car moves with uniform velocity 21 ms-1 from position ‘P’ and a truck moves from
rest with uniform acceleration 2 ms-2 from ‘Q’ in the same time and same direction towards ‘R’ as

b) If the first car of the stem starts journey from 35 m behind at the same time, then after how much time
will it overtake the second car? Ans: 70 s

29. Two cars ‘A’ and ‘B’ are moving in the same direction at the same time. Car ‘A’ starts from a
stationary position with an acceleration of 4 x 10-3 kms-2 and car ‘B’ is moving from 200 m behind

a) Determine the distance covered by the tiger in the 12th second. Ans: 23 m
b) Will the tiger be able to catch the deer? Show mathematically. Ans: Yes, it can catch it after 4s.

31. A tiger started running with a velocity of 4 ms-1 and an acceleration of 1 ms-2 to catch a deer 50
m in front of it. The deer immediately started running for a safe shelter at a distance 180 m with a
velocity of 10 ms-1 and an acceleration of 0.2 ms-2.
a) After how much time will the velocity of the tiger be equal to the velocity of the deer? Ans: 7.5 s
b) According to the information of the stem, analyze mathematically whether the tiger will be able to

41. A bullet hits a 9 cm thick wall with a velocity of 300 ms-1. The bullet's velocity is halved after it
has penetrated one-third of the wall.

c) How much further can the bullet penetrate? Ans: 1 cm
d) Can the bullet penetrate the entire wall? Ans: No (because it can penetrate maximum of 4 cm)

a) At what time the bullet will hit the wooden board? Ans: 1.25 s
b) Whether the wall will be damaged by the bullet or not? Show logic in favor of your answer.
Ans: No (because bullet can penetrate maximum 20 cm)

44. After penetrating 4 cm of a wall, a bullet lost 75% of its initial velocity. Then it penetrates some
more distance.
a) Find out the deceleration of the bullet. Ans: 11.71875 u2 ms-2
b) How much more distance can penetrate by the bullet? Ans: 0.2667 cm
