Assign below permissions sets

a. User with no permission to create slack channel

Connect Salesforce with Slack permission


Sales Cloud for Slack

b. User with permission to create slack channel

Connect Salesforce with Slack permission


Sales Cloud for Slack
Swarm (Read, Edit and Tab visibility) permission set

2. Ask users to install below apps and connect to Prod salesforce org.

a. Salesforce for slack.


b. Sales cloud for slack.

Troubleshooting steps if integration is not working.

1) Login to Salesforce org.

 Click on user icon on right top corner.

 Click on Settings
 Search for ‘slack user mapping’.
 Delete existing user mapping.

2) Go to Sales app in slack

In home tab, you will see connect button.

Click on connect button and provide salesforce credentials if it prompts and click
on allow.

3) slack is now connected to salesforce.
