PART 1: THE BEGINNING – THE CURSED CHILD
ACT 1: THE LONELY BOY
[FADE IN]
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Twelve years ago… the Hidden Leaf Village faced annihilation.
[EXT. KONOHA – NIGHT – CHAOS AND DESTRUCTION]
A colossal nine-tailed fox demon, Kurama, rampages through the village. Buildings collapse.
People scream.
VILLAGER 1
The Nine-Tails! Run!
[EXT. HOKAGE’S MONUMENT – NIGHT]
The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and his wife Kushina Uzumaki, battered but
determined, stand holding a newborn baby.
KUSHINA (crying)
His name… is Naruto.
MINATO
He will carry our will. Our love. Our hopes.
With a flash, Minato seals Kurama into the baby—Naruto Uzumaki—at the cost of both his
and Kushina’s lives.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
The child who saved the village… was cursed by it.
ACT 2: TEAM 7 IS BORN
[EXT. VILLAGE STREETS – DAY]
Young Naruto, 6, sits alone, watching other kids play. He smiles and approaches.
CHILD 1 (to others)
Don’t play with him. He’s dangerous.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
An orphan. A vessel of a monster. Shunned… feared…
[INT. RAMEN SHOP – NIGHT]
TEUCHI (kindly)
You’re always welcome here, Naruto.
Naruto slurps ramen, eyes shining with gratitude. The loneliness fades—just a little.
[INT. CLASSROOM – DAY]
Naruto: loud, clumsy, failing tests. But trying harder than anyone.
IRUKA
Naruto… you’re different. But that’s what makes you strong.
Iruka gives Naruto his headband—a symbol of being a true ninja.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
He didn’t seek power. He sought acknowledgement.
[EXT. HOKAGE FACES – DAY]
Naruto stares up.
NARUTO
Someday… I’m gonna be Hokage!
ACT 3: FIRST TEAM, FIRST DREAM
[EXT. TRAINING FIELD – DAY]
KAKASHI
I’m Kakashi Hatake. I hate you all. Let’s begin.
TEAM 7 is formed: Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Three paths. Three hearts. One future.
First mission: protect Tazuna, the bridge builder. They face Zabuza Momochi and Haku.
[BATTLE – NARUTO VS. HAKU]
HAKU
You fight to protect someone… like me?
NARUTO (shouting)
I fight because my friends mean everything!
Zabuza, once heartless, weeps over Haku’s death.
ZABUZA (dying)
You… opened my eyes, Naruto.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Even enemies could cry. Even broken men could be redeemed.
ACT 4: CHŪNIN EXAMS – THE STORM GATHERS
[INT. CHŪNIN EXAM STADIUM]
ROCK LEE (smiling)
Naruto… you and I are alike. We fight for our dreams.
Naruto, beaten, bruised, watches Lee get destroyed by Gaara, a jinchūriki like himself.
[INT. HALLWAY – NARUTO AND NEJI]
NEJI
Fate cannot be changed.
NARUTO
Then I’ll change mine!
ACT 5: OROCHIMARU STRIKES
During the exam, Orochimaru, a snake-like rogue ninja, attacks. He brands Sasuke with a
cursed mark.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
A seed of darkness was planted.
Sasuke begins to crave power. His eyes change. The Sharingan evolves.
ACT 6: FRIENDSHIP AND RIVALRY
[EXT. KONOHA – ROOFTOP – SUNSET]
NARUTO
Sasuke… you’re my friend.
SASUKE
Then why do I feel so alone?
He turns, backlit by the sun.
SASUKE
I have to sever my bonds to gain power.
He defects.
ACT 7: THE PROMISE OF A LIFETIME
[EXT. HOSPITAL – NIGHT]
SAKURA (crying)
Bring Sasuke back… please.
NARUTO (softly)
I promise.
