Title: Designing digital product that solve real world problems
Summary
My vision for this project is to create a seamless, intuitive, and visually engaging product that not only
meets business goals but also delivers a delightful user experience. I believe great design is rooted in
empathy and clarity, and my approach combines deep user understanding, iterative design thinking, and
close collaboration to build products that are both functional and impactful. From initial research and
wireframes to final UI and prototyping, I aim to craft a solution that feels effortless to use and aligned
with your brand’s values.
Project Detail
1. Project Overview
a. Understanding of the Project:
Avni is an open-source platform used for field data collection and management, primarily in the
healthcare and social impact sectors. The objective of this project is to redesign the Avni website to
improve usability, ensure responsive mobile design, adopt modern UI aesthetics, meet accessibility
standards, and maintain consistent branding. The frontend will be built using React, with Figma for
UI/UX design. Contributions will be made via PRs to the community branch.
b. Issues that Might Come Up and Support Needed:
● Ambiguity in user journeys or target audience expectations
● Unclear or undocumented branding guidelines
● Potential integration issues with existing React components
● Implementing and verifying accessibility compliance
Support Needed:
● Access to Avni’s user personas and real usage feedback
● A branding/style guide for consistent UI decisions
● Mentorship or guidance from existing maintainers on component architecture
● Review and validation of accessibility-related implementations
c. Solutions:
● Conduct a detailed audit of the current website and collect user feedback where possible
● Use the Discord or GitHub Discussions channels to clarify design or code-related doubts
● Follow WCAG accessibility guidelines and validate using tools like Lighthouse and Axe
● Break work into small, testable parts and validate design in Figma before coding
2. Macro Implementation Details with Timelines
a. Milestone 1 (Week 1–2):
● Analyze the current Avni website (structure, usability, responsiveness)
● Set up local development environment and clone the repo
● Define key user flows and design direction
● Create low-fidelity wireframes in Figma for feedback
● Engage in community discussions for initial design review
● Submit 1–2 minor PRs (e.g., documentation, minor UI tweaks)
b. Milestone 2 (Week 3–5):
● Finalize Figma designs with high-fidelity mockups
● Ensure designs follow accessibility and responsive design principles
● Begin building React components based on finalized mockups
● Test UI on different devices and browsers
● Submit initial PRs to the community branch and iterate based on feedback
c. Milestone 3 (Week 6–8):
● Complete frontend implementation and responsiveness refinements

Personal Information
About Me: I'm Nagendar Kumar Gupta, a final-year B.Tech student in Information Technology at Malla
Reddy Engineering College and Management Sciences, graduating in 2025. With a CGPA of 7.04, I
specialize in UI/UX design and front-end prototyping, blending technical skills with a strong design
sense.
I have hands-on experience using tools like Figma, Framer, Figjam, and Canva, and I’ve worked on
multiple design projects ranging from mobile apps to desktop interfaces. My recent projects include
a bill-splitting app, redesigned landing pages for a bank, and UX revamps for Patternlab.ai and
Educase. Currently, I'm designing a AI based code generator , a platform aimed to help developers
and programmers to improve their coding speed with a good experience
Beyond design, I bring programming knowledge in C++ and the Qt framework, and I'm proficient with
documentation and collaboration tools like Notion and ChatGPT. I'm known for my adaptability,
communication, and teamwork, and I enjoy taking initiative in both solo and collaborative settings.
