1. This pic is describing the area of Hospital be called Nursing station.

The nursing
station is the administrative center for nursing care for a group patients. And
secretory and nursing usually seat at a central desk, when they are not working
directly with patients. But they receives phone calls, answers questions, and orders
materials for patient care. Nurses often give and receive handoff or end-of-shift
report on patients in this area.

2. The picture is describing the auscultation

techniques. Because I see Pediatrician (doctor) is
using stethoscope to check children’s breath. The
auscultation technique is one of four techniques
of Physical examination: inspection, palpation,
percussion and auscultation. This technique is
useful skill to help doctor can check about heart
pulse of the patient. Finally, I feel the
comfortable of thein this picture, certainly this
technique doesn’t make the patient feel hurt or
fair.
3. This picture is describing palpation
techniques, because I see the doctor is using
his hand to check patient’s abdominal. It’s
one of four techniques using in physical
examination. First the patient take off
clothing, like take off upper clothing in this
picture, and he lies down. Then the doctor
use his hand and touch in swelling area, or
abdominal. This technique is useful to check
some disease like Edema, abdominal
distension.

4. The picture describing the doctor is

performing endoscope technique. It is medical
technique be used for direct observe clearly
organ inside the body, like digestive tract. By
the way, the patient is lying, and the head turned
on one side. The doctor take endoscope into the
mouth, and through throat to digestive tract. So
this technique is useful diagnosis gastrointestinal disease (digestive disease).

5. In this picture, I see the women, who is lying

on the bed, maybe she is crying. And near her is
the man are writing about what she says. So
certainly, the women who has bad emotion,
need be psychotherapy. And the man is
psychotherapist who is listening, and trying to
relive bad emotion of the women.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an
individual and a psychologist.
6. In this pic, I can see clearly, the girl is crying,
maybe she just has shocking information for her.
And beside her is the nurse who is trying to help
her relive bad emotion. And the doctor are trying to
explain somethings to The man. So, certainly, this
pic is describing giving the bad news. Finally to
make the people who take a bad news, can understand and accept the bad news, the
doctor must have good communication skill, and empathy.

7. In this pic, I can see many people, who use

wheelchair. And around them are the dogs,
volunteers. So I can guess, they are people
with disability, then I think they are using
animal therapy. Animal-assistant therapy is the
therapy, by the way use the dogs [Link]
dogs can make they fell comfortable, improve
health of them ( Change health of them better), finally the dog can help us reduce
stress a lot.

HOSPICE
Hello, I’m Dr. Vaughan. I’m here to talk to you about your current health care,
make some plans about how best way to take care of you in the future.
- Before we talk about that. I need to know your understanding from what your doctors have
told you about your current condition.
- The doctor told me a lot and I understand that I’m not going to recovering. My journey is coming
to the end. And I guess I’m ready.
- That sound sad. What are you expecting?
- I would like to enjoy the rest of my life. I don’t want to be a burden to my family. I’d like
someone can care me until the end.
- Have you heard the hospice before?
- I have. I have friends who had hospice but I don’t know anything about it.
- Well, hospice care is pretty common now. It’s a program that designed to help patients like you
at this time of their life to complete their wishes, to enjoy the rest of their life, to not be a
burden on their family, to take care of them for as long as they have left.
- Wow, that’s a lot. It means very much to me.
- Well, people say that hospice care is only for dying people. And it is. But when you look at the
bright side, in here have many people like u. So, u can do anythings with them, talking, listening,
playing,… help each other to the end. you will think why didn’t somebody tell u sooner.
- Yeah
- With your permission. I will contact to somebody from the hospice program. and They will tell
you and your family more detail.
- Okay, it sounds good.
- Okay, Thanks.
- Thank you.
MASTECTOMY SURGERY
- Good afternoon. I’m doctor …. How are you today?
- I’m good, nice to meet you again.
- So last week we’ve talked about your condition and you said you need discuss with your family.
So since the last time we met, How is it going?
- I know that I have a tumor on the right side of my breast and it quite big so we can only remove
the breast. I think it’s a good way to treat the cancer, instead of taking chemotherapy.
- It’s good to hear that from you because a lot of people afraid of losing one part of their body.
But removing the breast with tumor is a best way to not affect your health. Have you heard the
word mastectomy before?
- Yes, I have but I don’t know clearly.
- So basically, mastectomy is the removal of the whole breast. There are five different types of
mastectomy. Base on your condition, I think the “simple” or “total” mastectomy is the best
choice. We will remove entire breast and just only the breast. We assure that we will provide
the best surgeon team we have. Is that sound good to you?
- It’s far better than I thought it would be.
- Great, I’ll make an appointment with your surgeon. They will tell you and your family the detail.
Do you have any question?
- No, I don’t. It clears enough for me.
- Okay thanks. Wish best thing for you.
- Thanks doctor.
