The CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC for recruitment into the IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA.

### Exam Pattern:


- IMA, INA, AFA: English, General Knowledge, Mathematics (Total: 300 marks)
- OTA: English, General Knowledge (Total: 200 marks)

### 2. General Knowledge Syllabus:


- Current Affairs (National & International)

- Economy (Basic concepts, Budget, Banking)
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

### 3. Mathematics Syllabus (Only for IMA, INA, AFA):

- Number System, HCF & LCM
- Percentage, Profit & Loss
- Time, Speed & Distance
- Time & Work, Ratio & Proportion
#### Algebra:
- Basic Operations, Linear & Quadratic Equations, Polynomials

#### Geometry & Mensuration:


- Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals
- Area & Volume of 2D & 3D Figures

#### Trigonometry & Statistics:


- Trigonometric Ratios, Height & Distance
- Mean, Median, Mode, Data Interpretation

### Preparation Tips:


- Read NCERTs (6th-10th) for GK & Mathematics
- Follow newspapers (The Hindu, Indian Express) for Current Affairs
- Solve previous years papers & mock tests
- Use books like Wren & Martin (English), Lucent's GK, R.S. Aggarwal (Maths)
