REFLECTION PAPER

My journey through NSTP 1 was more than just an academic requirement but it was also a transformative
experience that deepened my understanding with regards to civic duty, teamwork, and community engagement.
What started as a simple course turned into a meaningful learning process that shaped my perspective on what it
truly means to be an active and responsible citizen of the Philippines.

I learned about the different NSTP laws, its purpose in developing civic consciousness, and the significance
and the difference between ROTC, LTS, and CWTS. Additionally, I had the opportunity to get to know the
various administrators and heads of our university, which I think is very crucial for students to know. One of the
most valuable lessons I gained from NSTP 1 was the importance of teamwork and leadership. Being part of a
platoon taught me how to work effectively with others, communicate my ideas, and collaborate toward a
common goal. Through various activities and discussions, I developed a greater appreciation for civic
consciousness, patriotism, and disaster preparedness. I realized that as citizens, we are not just bystanders in our
society since we also play an essential role in shaping and improving our communities.

As I embark on NSTP 2, I intend to apply everything I have learned by being more proactive in community
service and embracing my responsibilities with greater commitment. I will use my knowledge of disaster
preparedness and civic engagement to contribute meaningfully to our projects, ensuring that I uphold the values
of discipline, service, and social responsibility.

NSTP 1 has laid a strong foundation for me to become a better individual, leader, and citizen. As I continue
with NSTP 2, I am eager to further develop my skills and make a positive impact on the lives of others. At the
end of the day, it is not about power or authority but about how we, as individuals, can contribute to the greater
good of our nation.
