EXTENSION PROGRAMME PLANNING

Question 1

 Has Clear and measurable objectives.

 A focus on needs of the target audience

 A plan for evaluation

 A clear plan for implementation: when, where, how and to whom.

 A list of activities relevant to achieving the stated objectives.

 An outline of inputs and resources (funding, staff, partners) required for the program.

Question 2

 Developmental Program- Its aim is to empower the local people so that they can define

and solve their own problem or needs. All the stakeholders and beneficiaries work hand

in hand in all the 3 phases of the program.

 Institutional Program- This type of program works to further the development and

growth of individuals basic knowledge, skill and abilities. The program’s content is

derived from the knowledge base of the institution or discipline.

 Informational Program- This type of program works to educate or relay information

with the target audience. An information need of the audience is identified by the

extension agent then information packages are prepared then shared through various

media or channels.
