INTERNSHIP Opportunity for Young and dynamic Students
Yudh-Nashia-Virudh, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Punjab
The Government of Punjab has launched a initiative, Yudh-Nashia-Virudh to strengthen and
streamline the state’s response to substance use and challenges associated with it.
It is envisioned as a centralised knowledge and capacity-building hub that provides strategic
guidance, training, and thematic support to professionals across sectors to address the
aforementioned concern. This initiative bridges policy, evidence, and practice to enhance
service delivery at both systemic and grassroots levels. With a focus on developing Standard
Operating Procedures (SoPs), delivering specialised training, and promoting academic
engagement, TRC aims to create a consistent, scalable, and sustainable model of integrated
care to people suffering from substance use disorder and related psychosocial concerns.
The centre emphasises a holistic and preventive approach to address substance use as part of
the larger mental health landscape, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for impactful change
across the state.
