1. Infinity eights on the wall
You and your child lie in
TV sit position and trace
infinity eight with your
feet
2. Bridge close and bridge open
You and your child lie in TV sit position and get the feet to come
together and then apart and bring them back to the centre
3. Wall push offs...
Child lies on the scooter board
with hands crossed on the chest
and pushes off against the wall
with both feet...
4. Kick a suspended ball
Child lies on the floor in TV sit
position and kicks a suspended
ball with both the feet together.
5. Leaning on swing
Child leans back on a swing - (I have put a therapy ball in the lycra) and
come forwards and repeat this as comfortable
6. Kneeling on a therapy ball
Child kneels and balances on the
therapy ball - ensure that you
support your child or there is
something to hold in the front
7. Prone on peanut ball
Child lies on the peanut /therapy
ball and does fixing blocks/
writing/ plays with toys in the
front.
8. Land on hands and feet
Child lies prone on barrel/
therapy ball and lands on both
hand and then pushes back to
landing on both feet.
Kicks from feet to land on hands
and repeats this for a few times.
9. Sidelying dance ...
Child lies in sidelying position -
supports feet at the wall and
comes up with weight on hands
and then lie on tummy and repeat
on the other side.
Put some music on and do it as a
dance step with your child.
10. prone extension on swing
Child lies on platform
swing and gives you
low tens while the
swing moves front and
back

12. Climb on a tree
Climbing up trees is a great
way to work on core. Start
with slanting trees, they are
easy!!!
13. Jiggle wiggle walk
Child keeps feet together
and gets both hands in the
midline and walks ...

Child lies comfortably and
does cycling with feet-let
your child initiate it!!!
15. Passing the ball with feet
Child lies in TV sit position
and passes ball to you and
you pass to your child.
Repeat as many times as
your child feels
comfortable.
16. Pulling rope in prone extension
Child lies prone on scooter
board and pulls the rope or
dupatta and comes to
you!!!
17. Balance on the scooter board
Child sits on the scooter
board and you pull the
rope while child balances
using his core.
18. Full body tug of war
You and your child come in
the lycra and pull each
other apart - make it fun!!!
19. Crawling in lycra tunnel
Put the lycra tunnel on
your bolster swing and
child crawls in the air in the
lycra swing!!!
20. row row row your boat
Play row row row your boat
in a lycra tunnel -
encourage the child to lean
back all the way and sit up
again!!
Some things to consider...
1. Ensure that your child is breathing while doing these
activities. Most kids hold their breath.
2. Use music while doing these activities because core
is activated by music naturally.
3. Do in the context of fun and play- do not become
the adult who only gives instructions and prompts
but participate with your child...
