Hello, everybody. This is Faith from FaithsBizAcademy.com. Welcome to my


presentation, niche down and prosper. Just to give you a bit of background, I
was trying to think of the title for this presentation, and it just came to my
head, live long and prosper from Star Trek and therefore I kind of used it.
Okay, niche down and prosper. I'm not even a Star Trek fan. So, yeah. So
anyway, why why why do we want to talk about this? Because it is important
to understand who your business is serving.

Faith Lee:
I know a lot of us especially when we're starting out we actually really
struggle with niching down, right? Like why do we even need to niche down?
Why can't I just be multi passionate and stuff like that? Hopefully this
presentation will help you better understand and also give you a methodical
way to help you really nail down your target audience and understand who
your business is trying to serve that will best also bring you profit for your
business. Okay? So, please allow me to give you a brief introduction of myself.
Hi. I'm Faith. I am your summit host of 30 Day Business Plan Summit, and my
main business is faithsbizacademy.com. Now I am also a certified business
strategist and, I'm a YouTuber. I it always sounds weird when I say it but it's
just something fun that I tell people when they ask me what I do. So I have a
YouTube channel that teaches you on Canva.

I'm a mom of 3. My whole family stays in Singapore. I'm born and bred in
Singapore and I love to sing. I love drinking coffee and I love all things pink.
And that is a photo of me and my children in Tokyo in December.

This is called TeamLab. TeamLab Tokyo is this like art immersive art kind of
museum. Okay. But it was really fun and great for Instagrammers if you love
to take photos. Very very nice spots. The only downside is that it was so
crowded. It's really hard to take a photo without having other people in your
picture, right? But anyway, we had fun. That was our latest family vacation
and it also really reinforces the whole reason why I'm running an online
business because I really want to be able to take time away from work when I
want to and be able to afford, afford paying my bills, paying for groceries and
then saving up and then still being the main caregiver to my 3 children and
still be able to make money online.

Faith Lee:
Okay so I hope that yeah anyway that's just a introduction about me. What is
in it for you today? I would like to help you in this presentation to provide you
with a step by step method to help you define your niche and the target
audience that your business serves. This is a common question that people
would ask when it comes to talking about niching down, deciding on your
niche, defining your target audience. And a lot of people would say niche
down, but I'm multi passionate. How do I niche down when I am interested in
so many different things? I'm good at so many different things. How? Right?
So well, if you identify yourself as a multi passionate entrepreneur, you
possibly have many interests. You have many ideas. You find yourself getting
excited about so many different things.

Faith Lee:
You have so many different ideas running in your head and you have a desire
to build multiple businesses right? Not just one. That would be too stifling
isn't it? Or that would be too boring. Why can't we build multiple businesses
at the same time? And you probably don't want to feel trapped just doing
one thing and one thing only. Okay. So I guess that's the the thing we identify
with if we call ourselves as multi passionate entrepreneur. But with all of that,
right, with the multiple interests, with the multiple passions and the desire to
build multiple businesses, I think the biggest struggle is balancing. How do
we balance all of that? How do we balance our interests and our desires to do
many different things at the same time? So this juggling act, the struggle is
real. So how do we manage that and still build a thriving online business?
Now if you are a multi passionate entrepreneur who's starting an online
business, especially if you're in the beginning phase or you have been, well,
dwelling in the online space for a while now, but you haven't really found that
money making secret or you haven't really broken through, the red and
getting into a profitability, space, right, that your business is finding profitable
if you are still struggling with that.

Faith Lee:
Maybe the question is, how can you build multiple businesses at the same
time? Can you, can you build multiple businesses at the same time? Yes, but
yes, yes, yes, yes, you can. Yes, you can build multiple businesses at the same
time, but I think there is a huge but that we have to consider here. Okay? And
what is really important is that you need to create a system that works for
you. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a very organized person. I am not a
very organized person and the good thing is that we've got people in our
summit to help us. Okay? So if you wanna learn more about productivity,
organization, please please do check out Lucy's, summit presentation as well
as Nadia's summit presentation. Okay? But at the heart of it, at the end of the
day, you want to make sure that you create a system that works for you.
Whatever tools and resources you choose, you wanna create a system that
works for you, that will fit your schedule, that will fit your passions, that will fit
your strengths.

Faith Lee:
Okay? So if you are a multi passionate entrepreneur who's starting an online
business, you can you can split your regular schedule to cater to different
businesses. For example, right, if you want to run multiple businesses at the
same time, one thing you can juggle is you split up your schedule. For
example, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I will work on business a. On
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, I will fully work on business b. So that's how
you can juggle. You can split your schedule. Or you could say something like,
okay. In the mornings, I will work on business a, and in the afternoons, I will
spend time working on business b.

Faith Lee:
So, yes, you can juggle both, but it's always about how much time can you
afford. Right? And are you able to be able to split your schedule like this so
that you are actually spending sufficient time on both business businesses or
even 2, 3, 4 multiple businesses. Okay? So find your rhythm and create a
system that works for you to cater to different businesses. Okay. But even all
that, even taking into consideration that you can effectively split your time
evenly to meet the needs of your different businesses, niching down is still
important. Okay, it's not exclusive. It's not that I want to run multiple
businesses, I want to cater to different groups of audiences and therefore I
don't need to niche down. I don't think that is true.
Faith Lee:
I think it is still very, very important to niche down in order to build a
profitable business. Okay, why? Because niching down helps you appeal to a
specific target audience. Niching down helps you increase your audience
engagement, right? Because Okay, so for example, 30 day business plan
summit. Okay. It is built this summit is built is centered around to help brand
new aspiring and struggling entrepreneurs, people who have already been in
this business online space for a while but they haven't really made enough
profitability. So they're still trying to learn. They're still trying to learn as much
as possible on how to work on different things. It could be email marketing, it
could be choosing tech stack.

Faith Lee:
It could be nailing the target audience, understanding. It could be product
creation, how to speed up their product creation and stuff like that. Right?
But we are targeted at helping new beginner entrepreneurs, new and
beginner entrepreneurs. Now if you are to to just be very, very honest, if you're
already making several 1,000 of dollars a month for your business, this is
probably not gonna help you. Now yet the other thing is as a summit host,
I've actually personally listened to every single presentation. And I would say
I'm a relatively established entrepreneur, online entrepreneur, but I still
picked up new things from this, from from listening to everybody's
presentation. There is room to learn from everybody, but I am not the perfect
target audience for this summit. Right? Yeah.

Faith Lee:
So that is what I mean. Right? When you have when you niche down, you're
really trying to increase audience engagement. You want to appeal to a
specific target audience. I don't want people who are already earning 5,
$6,000 a month coming to this, summit and telling me after that, unhappily,
that that they already learned all this before then that's because they're not
the specific target audience right? They are not who we're trying to appeal to.
So niching down helps you appeal to a specific target audience. The other
thing to see is for example if I am doing it half business and half crafting,
right? Let's say half of my presentations are on crocheting. Then it also
diversifies the attention. So should I? Am I trying to appeal to people who are
interested in crocheting chatting as hobbyists or am I trying to appeal to
people who are trying to build an online business? It's very confusing.
Faith Lee:
People don't feel fully engaged. They might only participate in half of the
presentations. You get the gist, right? When you niche down, when you have
a very clear idea on who your business serves, on what your business is trying
to do, trying to achieve, it helps you appeal to the specific target audience. It
helps you increase audience engagement. It allows you to establish yourself
as a more credible source, right? Because you know lots about this one thing.
It helps you build credibility as a source of information, as the go to source.
Okay? It then leads to increased sales conversion because people trust you
now. People see that you have lots of content on this particular topic.

Faith Lee:
They see you as a credible source. They trust you. They like you and therefore
they wanna buy stuff from you. So with that increased audience
engagement, with that trust, it helps you grow your sales. Okay? So niching
down is essentially having a clear understanding of who your target audience
is. Who are you trying to appeal to? Who are you trying to help? Who your
business is serving? That is niching down. So yes, you can be multi passionate.
Yes, you can run multiple businesses at the same time.

Faith Lee:
But each business should still have a niche. Each business you should still
have a clear understanding of what each business is trying to achieve, who
each business is trying to serve and therefore you can be multi passionate
and still be niching down and be growing a profitable business. Okay, so let's
do give an example first. Okay, moms seem to be a common target audience.
Why? Maybe because a lot of us are moms stuck at home taking care of
children and then thinking that we want to build a side hustle because we
don't yet have we don't have an income now and therefore we want to
venture into an online space to make a side hustle. Okay so there are actually
a lot of us who are caregivers to children and we want to also build
businesses that will help other parents. Okay. So let's just say this is an
example.

Faith Lee:
Okay. If you tell me that, oh, my target audience is moms. They have so many
more questions I'm gonna ask. Are you targeting at moms with just one kid
or are you targeting at moms with many children? How many children do do
these moms have? How old are their kids? Are we talking about moms with
preschoolers or are we talking about moms with teenagers? Are we talking
about moms with adult children and then who are like more like empty
nesters stage, right? Because when you think about all these questions, you
will realize that there are actually a lot of differences. The mom dealing with a
teenager would be would have very different considerations and problems
than a mom dealing with a newborn baby. Okay? How old are the moms? If
we're talking about moms in their twenties and thirties, that will also lead you
to think, okay, so maybe the Gen z's, the early millennials, they're hanging out
on TikTok, on Instagram. The older moms are probably less social media savvy
or they are just on Facebook or they don't use social media at all. So even
their ages tell you where they hang out.

Faith Lee:
You kind of understand them better when you consider all these questions as
well. What is their social economic profile? Are they middle class? Are they
lower middle class? Are they upper middle class? Are they working moms or
stay home moms? Because once again, their their needs, the challenges, the
struggles can be different. Okay, are they single moms or are they married?
Are they biological moms or are they stepmoms? I've definitely come across,
various blogs written by stepmoms for stepmoms because the struggles
could be different and when you identify yourself as as any kind of identity,
that is also how you relate with the people you want to appeal to. Okay. So
with all these questions, you can actually use these questions to think about
exactly what kind of moms are you trying to appeal to if you if you first say
that you want to help moms in your business. What kind of moms? These
kind these are the questions that you can consider. I'm not saying that you
have to have an answer for every single question, I'm not saying that you have
to address every single question, but these are leading questions that will
help you niche down. Okay, so now let me refine it further.

Faith Lee:
So my target audience would be new moms, not just moms, but you know
you see as a inverted, inverted pyramid, right? We're getting more and more
specific. Okay? It's just like, Google SEO. You don't just want to target a
keyword that says planner. You want to target a longer tail keyword. It
become more and more specific, self care planner. Even more specific, self
care planner for moms, right? It gets more and more specific. That will help
you increase relatability. Okay, so now instead of just moms I'm saying okay
my target audience are new moms and my business mission is to help new
moms navigate through pregnancy to parenting their infant up to the
toddler years by providing them with resources that will keep their lives
organized, allow them to parent confidently and equip them with
educational resources to keep their young child meaningfully engaged.

Faith Lee:
So my mission statement gives you an idea of who my business serves and
how my business serves them, right? So you can see that yeah, it's a long
sentence, it's a mouthful, but it sums up. Okay, so with the mission statement
it also help you identify, helps you identify who you're trying to serve. It helps
your potential customers identify whether or not your business, your website,
your resources are going to help them. Okay, so the who in this mission
statement is new moms and the when and the how is during pregnancy
parenting from infant stage to toddler years. So you're imagining somebody
who is currently pregnant, who is going to then give birth and then pairing a
child and you're going to help them, you're going to serve them until their
their child is about 2 to 3 years old. Okay? So that is how you kind of narrow
down right? Not just moms but new moms going through pregnancy and
then helping them through up to their kids' toddler years. And then what are
you going to do for them? You're going to provide them with resources that
will help them keep their lives organized, help them parent confidently, equip
them with educational resources. So just by looking at this mission
statement, the possible products that you can create, okay, if this is your
business or I can create if this is my business, are things like printable
planners right to help them with organization, to and then printable activities
for their kids, you know things that they can print out or or even just use an
iPad to engage the children or maybe for such young kids it's probably
printable stuff.

Faith Lee:
They can paint, do finger painting, you know stuff like that printable activities
or even creating a community to provide accountability and support for these
this group of new moms. Okay, these are the possible products. So then how
do we define our target audience? Is this considered defined enough? Is this
considered niche down enough? Are we specific enough? Let's find out. So
this brings me to the 3 step target audience analysis. Okay. 3 step target
audience analysis exercise. 1st step that you need to think about is who is your
target audience? Who is your target audience? These are the questions you
want to consider. What is their profile? Are they parents? Are they single? Are
they young adults? Are they middle age? What are their hobbies and
interests? What is their social economic status? What where do they live?
What's their culture? Right? So, you could why? Why do we need to consider
all of these? Why? Because once again, when we talk, think about their
profile and their ages, it helps us to understand better where they hang,
right? Are they using are they using TikTok more often than Instagram or are
they on Facebook or do they not like social media at all? What are their
hobbies and interests? This might not be directly related to the products you
create but it will help you with relatability, right? Like do they watch Netflix?
Do they like k drama? Or they don't like tv at all, right? So if let's say I say oh I
have been watching squid game for example.

Faith Lee:
I don't though I don't though but it is like, in this current time, it's kind of a
popular, show on Netflix. And if you mention that in, let's say, like, you tell
people, like, some of your favorite movies are are marvel, for example, the
Avengers. Right? So when you identify your hobbies and interests, you're
actually trying to relate to the people. So it's not necessarily directed to
directly related to the products you create, but it helps with relatability.
Right? It helps you build that human connection. How about socioeconomic
status? It helps you understand their affordability, right? Are they into luxury
products? Because they are you know they're well off which also means that
they can probably afford more, Right? Or are they really struggling living from
paycheck to paycheck, which means they are very, very mindful. They're very
budget conscious. And that would also mean that, hey, you might not be able
to offer a high end one on one service, but they would really appreciate a low
ticket membership, for example.

Faith Lee:
So when you think about all these, it will help you deepen your
understanding of who your audience is and then directly or indirectly lead
you to better product creation that will lead to better sales conversion and
therefore better profitability for your business. Okay. Where do they live?
What's their culture? I'm an Asian face. I'm an Asian. I'm in Singapore. I'm very
far from people and, I don't always understand what's going on in the US. I try
to keep updated by reading the news and stuff like that. But, when it comes
down to it, there are certain things that I don't understand, just to put it
bluntly.

Faith Lee:
Right? So if it is so it also depends on what your niche is, what your business is
trying to serve. As my niche is serving online entrepreneurs, the culture and
the geographical location of where you are is less of a concern, right?
Because while this is an online space, the whole idea is even me in small old
Singapore far far away from you, I can reach you. I can help you run this host
and run this summit. It tells me, tells you that the geographical location is not
so much of an issue at all. Right? But but for example, if you just want to talk
about food. Right? Like, you are a food blogger and what's that? What's that
diet where you just eat protein? I cannot remember. I wish there was a live
audience that can help me answer that now, but for example, okay, so for
example, the food that we can find in Asia countries are very different from
what you can find in the other parts of the world. Right? So if you're a food
blogger, you might have to consider where your audience is living in.

Faith Lee:
Are the ingredients that you're using easily accessible to them as well? Right?
So this could be a situation where this particular niche, you being a food
blogger, it would affect where your audience lives. Because if they cannot
find the ingredients in their local grocery store, then it makes your content
less relatable and less applicable to them, right? So then it could be more
important for you that your audience lives on the same continent as you, for
example. Okay, so these are leading questions that you should try to answer
as much as possible when you're doing this 3 step target audience analysis to
help you really define this one person, this one target audience whom you're
trying to serve. Step 2: What problems are they facing? And try to think of 3
big issues. You could possibly list out a lot a lot of problems, possible,
categorize under 3 big issues. Okay? So step 2, step 1 you've gotten to you
know who they are. Now step 2 is identify what problems they are facing.
Step 3.

Faith Lee:
What solutions can you provide? You know their problems now. What
solutions can you provide? And you want to come up with the respective
solutions for each of these 3 big issues. Do you have to have 3? No. It is like a
brainstorming session going through this 3 step target audience and that is
this exercise. Well it's an exercise. It's a piece of work that you should do to
help you build the foundation of your business. So up to 3 big issues so it's not
too overwhelming. But if you have only 1, then just focus on 1 and come up
with a list of solutions that you can provide.

Faith Lee:
Now these solutions don't necessarily have to be things that you create
yourself. Yes. It can be your own products and services, but it can also be
affiliate products. Okay? Promoting somebody else's creation. So example.
Now that you know the 3 steps. Okay. Who is your target audience? That's
step 1, understanding your profile.

Faith Lee:
Number 2, what problems are they facing? Number 3, the solutions that you
can provide. Now here is an example. Back to the new moms. Okay new
moms, remember my first example where I started with moms as a big
category and then I filtered down to new moms? So my who is a mom who is
in her early thirties, stay home mom expecting her first child. Now she is
expecting her first child. She hasn't really stayed home yet. She's still working
now, but she intends to quit her job to be the main caregiver. Okay so she's in
this space where she's really anxious.

Faith Lee:
She's anxious about being a first time parent. She's anxious about having to
quit her job to be the main caregiver because that would mean her income
would would go from, I don't know, a couple of $1,000 a month to $0. Right?
And then her spouse is gonna be the sole breadwinner. Now then they're
gonna be tied on finances with an increased independent sorry, with an
increased dependent and reduction in finances. That's gonna cause some
anxiety, but she's internet savvy so she she hangs around on on Instagram.
She knows how to use Pinterest and she knows how to do online shopping.
She's basically familiar with the online space. Okay? Now problem 1.

Faith Lee:
Remember that that's the step 1, right? The who. Who is the target audience?
I've listed out, the profile and what she's experiencing right now. Problem 2,
sorry problem 1 pregnancy. I imagine that my target audience right now is in
her 3rd trimester because she's at a phase where she's starting to plan for
quitting her job, so she's probably at the later phase of her pregnancy and
she's thinking about what to buy for the baby. First time mom, she doesn't
know what to buy. She doesn't know how to organize a hoe to make it child
friendly, baby proofing it, and then she needs to start planning for household
finances because remember she's gonna quit a job so she needs to modify
maybe how she spends so that she can feed her child, right, to depend on
that single income as a family with her spouse. So that's problem 1. What are
the solutions? Now the solutions are I can offer digital products like a
pregnancy planner, like a hospital checklist that will help her get through all
these confusion, a budget planner that will help her plan out what needs to
be bought, how much it costs, the things that the baby would need and how
much it costs, and things like even a home organization planner.

Faith Lee:
Affiliate products that I can offer are let's say I'm an Amazon affiliate. I can
share with her oh these like if you're a breastfeeding mom you have to have
breast pumps and these are my recommended breast pumps and then I
could include my affiliate links right to Amazon. I could also sell physical
products. I maybe I'm very crafty and I want to do a p0d business and I want
to allow my my target audience to create customizable rompers, like have
personalized rompers, baby rompers with the names on it or a funny quote or
whatsoever, right? So these are 3 different types of solutions that I have
thought of to address this particular problem. Number 2, problem 2,
parenting, right? The baby is out. The baby is growing. Now this new mom
needs tips on baby led weaning, needs needs to know what it means to be a
respectful educate a toddler to start speaking, writing, reading and stuff like
that. Solutions.

Faith Lee:
I could offer digital products like guidebooks, checklists, checklists on what
you need, what tools you need to start your bed your to start your baby led
knitting process, planners for meal prep, even courses. Okay I can offer
parenting courses. For example my day job is a doctor and I can offer you
some courses that will help you right? So that is also possible or even
printable activities to help the toddler to learn to speak to read to write. And
the other type of solution is also offering affiliate products. Same thing.
Maybe like reading well, you need a bit a a bit. Right? You need a high chair,
whatever utensils that you need. I could link you up to through my affiliate
links on Amazon.

Faith Lee:
So these are solutions that I can provide for this particular problem. Problem
3: New mom needs self care. She's tired, she's stressed, she's overwhelmed
and she feels lonely because she started staying home. No more work, which
means the social aspect of work is now gone and she's just mostly stuck at
home. She's feeling lonely. She has lack of social support. Solutions? I could
provide her with an online community of other fellow moms where we can
chat, where we can come together, we can meet online. I can create a
podcast where I give her the tips, also encouragement, right? So that she feel
that she's heard, she's understood.

Faith Lee:
Yeah that she's understood and that she's not lonely. I can offer a podcast for
that. I can create a membership where members have online meetups or I
could create something that is a membership for my local community where
the members because this is where I also think about geographical location.
Right? I want to create a membership that allows us to physically meet up. So
I'm my audience would have to be in a specific geographical location. That's
also possible. I could have a membership that delivers new, printable
activities for the toddler every month. These are possible solutions for this
problem.

Faith Lee:
Now that I've done through all that, the brainstorming, hit a pause. Am I
getting more clarity or am I getting overwhelmed? I think it's both. Right? I
am getting clarity because I'm I've written down all my thoughts. I've
brainstormed out and this the picture of this target audience is getting
clearer and clearer. Right? But then now I have 3 big problems and so many
different types of solutions. What do I work on? What do I work on? So let's
put them all side by side. Okay. Problem 1, problems during face during
pregnancy, all the solutions that I've mentioned.

Faith Lee:
Problem 2 with parenting's respective solutions. Problem 3 on self care,
respective solutions. And then I look at it, and then I ask myself, what do I feel
most with? What do I think is the easiest to create as a solution? As a content
creator? What do I feel that I can relate to most? What do I feel that will be
easiest for me to create on an ongoing basis? Not just a one time creation,
but that I'll have new ideas to create month after month. So looking at these 3
and I decide that number 1, solutions for problem 1 would be what I want to
do. Now once again, this is a case study. This is an example of how you go
through the 3 step target audience analysis exercise. And if you come up with
lots of problems and you have come up with lots of solutions, now we go
down further, niche down. Remember? What do you want to do now? What
is what do you think you're best at? What do you think you can do with
greatest amount of passion and with the greatest number of ideas? So
looking at this, I might think, okay, I'm gonna stick with problem 1.

Faith Lee:
I'm gonna help solve problem 1 first. Now will I ultimately solve all three
problems for my audience? Yes. It's possible, but we all have to start
somewhere. We We all have to start somewhere and I'm gonna focus on
problem 1 first because I think looking at the digital products is easiest for me
to create. Create a pregnancy planner, create a hospital checklist. In fact,
there are things like PLR with commercial use rights. I don't even have to
create this. I'll just buy the PLR templates, quickly edit them and sell them as
my own.

Faith Lee:
That is also possible and I could create a blog, share tips on that to grow, use
SEO to drive traffic and and then I could apply to be an Amazon affiliate. But
looking at physical products, I don't want to do POD. I don't want to sell
physical products. I don't want to keep a physical inventory, so that is not
what I want to do. But these are the things that I can do. This is the person I
want to serve. Okay? Putting all the problems side by side, all the solutions
side by side and then asking myself what do I think is the easiest for me to do
and I've shortlisted this one. Now bringing you back to the mission statement
that I wrote earlier right? To help new moms navigate through pregnancy to
parenting their infant up to toddler years years by providing them with
resources that will keep their lives organized, parent confidently and equip
them with educational resources to keep their young child meaningfully
engaged.

Faith Lee:
This sounds like a really good mission, but now that I've gone through the 3
step target audience analysis, I need to modify my mission to this. We provide
new moms with digital resources that help them navigate through
pregnancy healthily, make financial plans as well as organize the home to
prepare for arrival of the baby without the stress and overwhelm. So if you
were to do a comparison, of course you would see that I'm still talking about
new moms, but I have totally removed the part about parenting confidently,
about equipping them with educational resources because right now I just
want to focus on helping the new mom, the new mom who's pregnant for
the first time, who is carrying a baby and she needs to get through the 9
month pregnancy. She needs to start making plans to baby proof the house.
She needs to start making budget plans to buy stuff for the baby, to modify
the house, to organize. She needs to start doing that. So from if you were to
imagine with me, from a scale based on our original mission, me wanting to
help a young mom through pregnancy 9 months and then moving forward
to the 1st 3 years of the child's life, I have now filled it down even further. I
have refined it.

Faith Lee:
I have niched down to just focusing on helping moms getting through their
pregnancy. So it's a lot more specific and that is where I'm going to start with
my product creation. I'm not going to worry about creating printable
activities. I'm going to focus on creating printable hospital checklists,
printable pregnancy planners, printable meal plans for pregnant moms with
health concerns, stuff like that. It gives gives me so much more focus on the
content to create even the blog content that I want to write and the digital
products I want to create because I have now niched down further. Okay? So
that is the mission statement that I'll go with. Can I change it over time? Yes.
Nothing is cast in stone.

Faith Lee:
You can always modify it. You can always change it because at the heart of it,
you want to serve your audience. You wanna serve your customers, right? So
it could be an ongoing journey where you're always refining your mission
because you wanna make sure that you're doing your best, keeping your
audience at the center of your business and serving them the best way that
you can. Okay, so then question is now what? Now what? Technically
speaking, the next step should be to start thinking about the blog content
you want to write, the content you want to create, the digital products you
wanna create. But if I continue now, this is probably gonna take, like, 2 hours.
So we're gonna take a pause right now. Okay? Now what now is for you to
grab this free resource. This is a target audience analysis exercise, free
resource delivered to you in Google document.

Faith Lee:
If you click on that link, yeah it will bring you to this one where you make a
copy and then it will automatically keep help you save a copy in your Google
drive and this is what it looks like. Okay. So it is not complicated. It's basically a
document that has summed up what I've shared with you in the
presentation. Okay. So Google document for you to edit, all you have to do is,
you know, you can double click on this, Right? You can remove that. Of
course, it's my branding. If you have created your logo, we have a summit
summit presentation.

Faith Lee:
My summit presentation is on quick and easy logo design. Go for that if you
need some ideas and inspiration on how to create a logo from scratch. You
can replace it. You can upload your image here. You can put your business
name, your business slogan up up here. You can totally customize this on
your own. Okay? And basically, this is what I would like you to fill in to help
you build that foundation for your business, right? Write down your business
name. Write down a slogan if you have 5 to 7 words, something short and
catchy.

Faith Lee:
Write down your mission statement. Go through the target audience analysis.
I have some examples here. Okay? This is just for your reference, but this is for
you to delete all this and put in your own words. Okay? This is just a
document, a template for you to work on your 3 step target audience
analysis. Alright? Yes. So that's for you to grab. It's a free resource and and
that's it.

Faith Lee:
Okay. I know it seems a bit abrupt. Like I said, the next step will be then to
decide specifically on the products I wanna create. Right? Sticking with this
new mom, example, I already have mentioned right that I want to create like
printable hospital checklist. I want to create printable pregnancy planner. I
want to create new planner for the pregnant mom right. So these are the
things that I have in mind just off my head as I finally decided on my target
audience. But then there is the further thing that I want to do where I really
plan out.

Faith Lee:
Is it sustainable? What more can I create? How do I make sure that this
customer, this audience stays with me for the long run? So that will go
deeper into product creation okay which will be in a different presentation. So
keep a lookout for that as well and watch that. But meanwhile, I really, really
strongly encourage you to go through this. Okay, 3 step target audience
analysis exercise in the Google document. Just grab it. Okay, My
recommendation is for you to spend 30 to 60 minutes to complete the target
audience analysis exercise, not more than that. You actually want it to come
like really quickly, you know, because that is that will reflect how passionate
you are about that topic. That will reflect how many ideas you already have
for that topic.

Faith Lee:
So don't dwell on it too much. Just bam bam bam and write down as fast as
you can. Okay? Set a timer, set it to 30 minutes and then ring again in 45
minutes and just set it to 30 minutes and then ring again in 45 minutes and
that's the time that you should, wrap it wrap things up. Okay? And you can
even repeat this target audience analysis exercise for every audience or every
niche that you are interested in, Right? For example, you you love crocheting.
You want to set up a website that teaches people how to crochet. You want
to create tutorials. So that is the crocheting niche. And then you want to help
new moms also.

Faith Lee:
Right? There could be some kind of overlap in the audience, but those are
essentially 2 different niches and 2 different audiences. So you can do this 3
step target audience analysis exercise for every niche and audience that
you're interested in. Okay? And you can also revisit this target audience
analysis exercise every 6 months, especially when you are in the growing
phase of your business. It's new to you. Your audience is new to you. And as
you, you know, write more emails, create more products, it will help you
understand your audience better and better. And then you might also think
that, oh, I might need to start changing my mission statement because in
order to grow with my business, I need to expand my mission or I need to
expand my product suite of solutions. So I need to create something different.

Faith Lee:
But once again, come back to this analysis exercise because that will help you
center your audience at the heart of your business so that you're always
creating content and creating products that serve the needs of your target
