We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand
To ease our suffering
And all the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things
'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?
What if Your healing comes through tears?
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near?
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise?
We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe
'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're
near?
And what if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise?
When friends betray us
And when darkness seems to win, we know
The pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home
'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're
near?
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst
This world can't satisfy?
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise?
A pleasant morning to everyone, to our humble school president Rev. Lisa C. Yañez, to
our school principal Mr. Jaime B. Caduyac, to our school chaplain Rev. Charlyn C.
Dayola , to the esteemed guests Dr. Alith Militante Corales , parents, fellow students
and most importantly, our dedicated teachers and administrators,
Today, we gather to celebrate the incredible impact that teachers have on our
lives. It is a privilege to stand before you all here today and pay tribute to those who
have dedicated their lives to shaping the minds and hearts of the students. Teachers
are not just educators; they are mentors, guides, and often, the unseen heroes of our
communities.
As I reflect on my own journey, I am reminded of the countless moments when a
teacher made a difference in my life. I remember walking into my first classroom,
feeling nervous and unsure. But there was my teacher, with a warm smile and
encouraging words, ready to help me navigate the challenges ahead. And I am also
delighted to experienced a teacher who was there to reach their hands to me and help
me safely get home because of the situation where I lived. That simple act of kindness
set the tone for my entire educational experience. It showed me that learning isn’t just
about books and exams; it’s about building relationships and getting help from others.
Teachers have a unique ability to see potential in their students, even when we
may not see it ourselves. They challenge us to push our boundaries, to think critically,
and to believe in our abilities. I recall a time when I struggled with a particular subject.
My teacher didn’t give up on me. Instead, they took the time to provide extra help, to
explain concepts in different ways, and to encourage me to keep trying. That
persistence not only helped me improve academically but also instilled in me a sense
of resilience and that I carry with me to this day.
Administrators, also play an important role in creating an environment where
learning can thrive. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our schools
are safe, supportive, and equipped with the resources we need to succeed. Their
leadership and vision help shape the culture of our schools, fostering a sense of
community and belonging. I am grateful for the administrators who have advocated for
us, who have listened to our concerns, and who have worked to create a positive
atmosphere for both students and teachers.
As we honor our teachers and administrators today, let us also recognize the
sacrifices they make. They often work long hours, staying late to grade papers, prepare
lessons, and support students. They invest their time, energy, and passion into our
education, often going above and beyond what is required. It is this dedication that
inspires us to work for greatness and to pursue our dreams.
Moreover, teachers are not just educators; they are lifelong learners themselves.
They adapt to new teaching methods, embrace technology, and seek out professional
development opportunities to better serve us students. This commitment to growth sets
an example for us all. It reminds us that learning is a lifelong journey, and that we
should always be open to new ideas and experiences.
In addition to academic knowledge, teachers impart valuable life lessons. They
teach us about empathy, respect, and the importance of hard work. They encourage us
to be curious, to ask questions, and to seek answers. These lessons extend far beyond
the classroom and shape who we are as individuals. I am grateful for the teachers who
have not only educated me but have also instilled in me a sense of responsibility to
give back to my community.
As we celebrate our teachers and administrators today, let us express our
heartfelt gratitude. Let us acknowledge the countless hours they have dedicated to our
success and the unwavering support they have provided. They have not only taught us
subjects but have also taught us how to be compassionate, thoughtful, and engaged
members of our society.
To end this speech, I want to say thank you to each and every teacher and
administrator here today. Your impact is immeasurable, and your dedication does not
go unnoticed. You have shaped our lives in ways that words cannot fully express. As
we move forward in our journeys, well carry the lessons you have taught us and work
hard to make you proud. Thank you for believing in us, for challenging us, and for
being the guiding lights in our lives. You are truly appreciated, and we are forever
grateful. Thank you.
