Using Robert Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, what did you notice in the
following segments of learning:
1. How did the students react to the activities/various elements to arouse their
interest?

The students were curious and excited, especially when they saw real-life examples like the

shape of a bridge or a fountain. They asked questions and shared their observations.
2. Were the students focused when you were stating the learning objectives at the
beginning of the lesson?

Yes, most students listened carefully, and some even wrote the objectives in their notebooks

to remember them better.

3. How did the new learnings relate to what they really know?

The students connected the new lesson about quadratic equations to what they had learned

before about linear equations, making it easier to understand.

4. Did you notice some students who needed assistance? What did you do?
Yes, a few students struggled with graphing quadratic equations. I guided them step by step
and gave them simpler examples to practice.
5. Did the students find difficulty in applying the theories/concepts learned to real
life?
Some students initially struggled to see how quadratic equations relate to real life, but after
examples like the motion of a ball or a parabolic slide, they started to understand.
6. How did your students react to your feedback?
The students appreciated the feedback and used it to improve their work. They felt motivated
when I highlighted their correct answers and gave tips for improvement.
7. What pieces of evidence can prove that the students had retention of learning?
Students could solve similar problems in quizzes and explain quadratic equations during
group discussions, showing they understood and remembered the concepts.

Overall impression of teaching effectiveness:
Overall, the teaching was effective because the lesson was well-organized, and the teacher
demonstrated mastery of the subject. Students were engaged and actively participated in the
activities. The teacher used clear explanations, relevant strategies, and created an inclusive
and supportive learning environment. There is room for improvement in addressing diverse
learning needs and involving quieter students more actively.

Reflect
Having implemented several lessons in your cooperating school under the
supervision of your resource teacher, in what areas of the lesson do you need to improve?
After teaching several lessons with my resource teacher's guidance, I need to
improve on managing time effectively during activities and ensuring that all students
are actively engaged throughout the lesson. I also need to work on providing clearer
instructions and checking for understanding more consistently.
