A bank wants to develop a warehouse for effective decision making of their loan schemes.

The
bank provides loans to customers for various purpose like house building, car, personal etc.

The whole country is categorized into regions, namely south,north,east and west , the regions
consists of number of states, the loan amount are disbursed to customers at various interest rate
that changes time to time. Also at given point of time, the different types of loans have different
interest rates. The warehouse should record an entry for each disbursement of loans to
customers. With respect to above business scenario.
1) Investigate dimensions, fact, attributes and measures along with primary key and foreign
key relationship.
2) Design Star schema for the above scenario

Design the data warehouse for a wholesale furniture company. The data warehouse has to allow
to analysis the company’s situation at least with respect to the furniture ,customers and time.

The company needs to analyze :

1) The furniture with respect to its types(chair, table etc),category(kitchen ,bedroom)and


material(wood, marble)
2) The customers with respect to their spatial location, by considering their
cities,region,state

The company is interested in learning at least the quantity, income and discount its sales .

1) Investigate the dimensions, fact, attributes and measures along with primary key and
foreign key relationship.
2) Design Star schema for the above scenario
