Game Development Task:
Game Title: ___Basketball_________________________
Objective of the Game:
(Describe the main goal of the game. What do players need to achieve to win?)
The main goal of basketball is to score more points than the opposing team by shooting the ball into the
opponent's hoop while preventing them from scoring in return. Players achieve this by dribbling,
passing, and executing strategic plays to create scoring opportunities. A standard basketball game
consists of four quarters, and the team with the highest score at the end of the game wins. If the score is
tied, an overtime period is played to determine the winner.

Game Setup:
(Explain how the game is set up before starting. Where do players stand? What positions or areas are
needed?)
1. Player Positions at Tip-Off
Two opposing players (usually the tallest, often the center) stand inside the center circle for the
jump ball.
The remaining players are positioned around them:
o Two players from each team stand outside the center circle, ready to react to the tip-off.
o The other players are positioned strategically near the three-point line or in defensive
positions.
2. Basketball Positions
A standard basketball team has five players on the court, each with a role:
Point Guard (PG): The primary ball handler and playmaker, usually starts the offense.
Shooting Guard (SG): A strong shooter and scorer, often plays off the ball.
Small Forward (SF): A versatile player who can score, defend, and rebound.
Power Forward (PF): A strong inside player who rebounds and scores near the basket.
Center (C): The tallest player, responsible for rebounding, blocking shots, and scoring in the
paint.
3. Key Areas on the Court
Center Circle: Where the jump ball takes place.
Three-Point Line: Determines the value of shots (inside = 2 points, beyond = 3 points).
Paint (Key Area): The area near the basket where big players operate.
Free-Throw Line: Where players shoot free throws after fouls.
Sidelines & Baseline: Mark the boundaries of the court.
Once the referee tosses the ball for the jump ball, the game officially begins, and teams try to gain
possession to start their offensive play.
