1 What's New in STMS V12
This document provides information regarding the V12 release of the STMS application. For more
detailed information, see the STMS V12 Documentation Suite.
Following are the main highlights of this release.

1.1 Support for new embedded features

STMS V12 adds support for new features introduced in APO V12 as follows
• HIO400A: L2 services
• TM800_2REG: unidirectional regenerator facility
• TM400_2: IOP and OLP client protection for 100GE LR1 fan-out with the OTR400Q56DD_LR1
module in 400G muxponder mode
• TM800_2: IOP and OLP client protection for LR1 fan-out with the OTR400Q56DD_LR1 module in
muxponder mode

1.2 SRS tilt setting

From STMS V12 new 'Transmission fiber type' and 'Insertion loss' drop-down boxes appear in the
amplifier configuration window in order to support SRS tilt setting for specific amplifiers.

1.3 Noise loading granularity

From STMS V12 the flex-noise attribute can be configured on an OTS port using the ROADM_9FS
card, which supports flex-grid noise loading operation over the extended C-band.in the network.

1.4 Transmission of ICMP unreachable packets

From STMS V12 users may disable transmission of ICMP unreachable packets to reduce load on the
NE's processor.
New drop-down boxes for configuring ICMP unreachable transmission attribute

1.5 License Updates

There are no new licenses introduced in STMS V12.
