POSITION VACANCY
Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) is an independent Trust established by the Govt. of the People's Republic
of Bangladesh providing specialist services to the Government, national and international agencies in the
field of water modelling, computational hydraulics and allied sciences. IWM has an excellent working
environment and scope for career development through HRD programme both in-house and abroad. IWM is
now inviting applications from eligible candidates to form a pool of qualified candidates for appointment as
and when required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Junior Engineer Division/ Unit: All
Reporting To: Director of respective division/Unit Grade -- P-VII

No. of Vacancies: Several


Job Responsibilities
• Field surveys and hydrologic/hydrometric data analysis
• Assist project team as directed by the Project Leader/ Team Leader
• Perform any other duties as per instructions from respective Directors/ Unit Heads.

Educational requirements:
• Minimum [Link]. Engg. in Civil / Water Resources Engineering from a reputed University. The
incumbents will have sound understanding and knowledge on hydrologic and hydraulic processes.
Experience requirements:
• Experience is not mandatory, but some work experience in the field of water resource management
/ Civil Engineering will be an added advantage.

Commitment to serve IWM:


• Candidates selected must have commitment to serve IWM for at least two years.

Remuneration:
• Attractive salary and benefit package applicable for staff under contractual appointment will be
offered to the deserving candidate.

Additional requirements
• Age must be below 30 years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill.
• Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
• The incumbent must have a mindset to work in a team.
• Must be able to carry out multi-tasking activities and have a mindset to work under pressure.
