NOTE ON IRRIGATION CANALS and WORKS IN IRRIGATION SECTION, PENTAPADU

UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF DELTA SUB-DIVISION, TADEPALLIGUDEM.

Irrigation Section, Pentapadu jurisdiction is Junction canal and its distributies and
Yanamadurru drain right bank from Km 4.800 to Km11.200.
The Junction Canal, a main canal of the Godavari Western Delta, branches from
the Eluru Canal at Km 15.650 and extends to Km 20.130, irrigating 25,351 acres. The
Junction Canal has two branches: the Mid-level channel and Low-level channel.
There nare 7 No’s sluices in Yanamadurru drain right bank bank from Km 4.800
to Km11.200.

 Work in progress:

branches in Irrigation Section Pentapadu for the year 2024-25. Estimate
Amount 20.16 Lakhs.

 Works proposed:
Estimates forwarded to District Collector West Godavari for Administrative
Approval.
1) O&M Repairs and Replacement of existing damaged Shutters and
Center Groove of Racherla regulator in Rachrla (V), Pentapadu (M),
West Godavari Dist. Estimate Amount 5.20 Lakhs.
2) Reconstruction of Sluice on Yanamadurru drain Right Bank @ Km
11.200 in B.Kondepadu (V), Pentapadu (M), West Godavari District.
Estimate Amount 37.50 Lakhs.
