Dear Dr. Collado:

This is to inform you that our barangay has complied with the criteria required for Basic Sanitation Status
or G2 as January ___, 2025. Our Barangay Officials have done the following activities to mobilize the
community in reaching the criteria or (Basic Sanitation status or G2):

a. Open defecation is not practiced and all households are properly disposing sanitary napkins
and diapers;
b. 90-100% of households have their own sanitary toilet, and have available water and soap at or
near their toilets;
c. All schools have safe, functional, and gender segregated toilets, with overall pupil toilet seat
ratio not exceeding 101:1;
d. Al Child Development Centers have at least one age-appropriate sanitary toilet that is safe,
functional:
e. All other public institutional facilities, each have at least one functional sanitary toilet;
f. Open defecation is not practiced and all households are properly disposing sanitary napkins
and diapers;
g. 100% of households have their own sanitary toilets, and have available water and soap at
or near their All households and public institutional facilities are practicing segregation
and/or composting of solid waste at source;
h. Presence of functional materials recovery facility in the barangay;
i. Availability f mechanism to sustain the local ordinance on ZOD, in addition to creating a
local ordinance on having toilets in I households, school, CDCs, and other public institutions,
animal excreta management, solid waste management and monitoring mechanism to
sustain G2 status and;
i. Sanitation financing to reach G2/G3 tats allocated through localized sectoral master plans and
local development plans.

We take pride for having implemented the following innovation approach to achieve G2 status:
1. Inspection and monitoring of households, schools, CDCs, Barangay Hall/ Health Center and other government-owned
institutions on waste management, availability of sanitary toilets with clean water, soap and trash bins including animal
feces management;
2. Inspection of backyard hog raising and piggeries;
3. Inspection and Rehabilitation of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)/Residual Containment Area (RCA);
4. Barangay Simultaneous cleanup drive;
5. Assembly meetings.
In this regard, we would like to request the Municipal Verification and Certification Team to conduct
verification/certification of our barangay. Enclosed is our report and other attachments, for your reference.
