NTFS Permissions

 Steps
 1. Open windows explorer (click on the Computer app).
 2. Create a folder called ElearningFiles on local disk C:
 3. Create a text file in the folder created above called
Demo File.
 4. Right-click on the file created, then click on
properties
 5. Click on the Security tab of the Demo File properties
dialog box.
NTFS Permissions
 6. Click on the Edit button
 7. Select a user\group name from the Group or user
names: option OR click on Add button to select a
user\group name.
 8. Apply the desire permissions from the Permissions of
Users option.
 9. Click on the OK button
 10. Click on the advance button to make advance
adjustments to the NTFS permissions.
 11. Click on the OK button
Sharing
 Steps
 1. Right-click on the folder created above, then click on
properties
 2. Click on the Sharing tab
 3. Click on the Advanced Sharing button.
 4. Click on the Share this folder check box
 5. Type ElearningSharing in the Share name box.
 6. Click on the Permissions button, then click on the
Add button to add a user or group, after which select
desire permissions
 7. Click OK
 8. Click OK, then click the Close button
