INFORMANT(S) NEIGHBOURS
The following circumstances were gathered from police personnel as well as personal observation. The decedent was originally called
in as Unidentified and later was identified by fingerprints,
The decedent was a 41 year old male with a history of drug use who had active warrants for criminal activity. The
decedent was recently witnessed waving a gun around. This was what what prompted the most recent warrant and the
traffic stop by Hartford Police. The decedent has a long history of violent tendencies and was estranged from his family.
He has had arrests in the past for assault, burglaries, narcotics, and possession of machine guns.
The decedent was the driver of a Nissan Maxima registered to a female with the same last name. He had a passenger and
they had been discussing the decedent having lost a lot of weight and a comment was made that the decedent may have
a "drug sickness like AIDS".
The Hartford Police Street Crimes Unit was attempting to stop the decedent's vehicle at Capital Avenue and Park Street,
but the vehicle fled onto the 1-84 westbound ramp. The vehicle struck several other vehicles attempting to escape as
there were construction vehicles on the ramp. At that point, the car was stopped. Plain clothes officers approached the
vehicle and laid stop sticks under the front of the car. The car was attempting to jockey back and forth to get away. Once
the car stopped, the passenger got out and surrendered. The car had a flat front tire.
The decedent exited the vehicle and lunged towards Hartford Police Officers attempting to gain one of the officers
weapons. The decedent was given verbal commands by the officers; the decedent failed to comply. The decedent was
allegedly subdued at one point with non lethal action, but he was able to gain control of one of the officer's guns. He
allegedly broke the holster to gain access to this gun. The oficer made the others aware that the decedent had his gun.
Another officer fired a weapon and struck the decedent. He reportedly fired 3 times.
Per the passenger in the car, the decedent said "l am ready to die, ready to die" as he was getting out of the car.

planes with the body in the supine position.
Wound Track: After perforating the skin and soft tissues of the

occipital bone, creating a 3/4" x 3/4" fracture with internal beveling. The bullet
then sequentially perforates the right occipital, parietal, and frontal lobes with

without abrasion, fouling, or stippling of the adjacent skin. It overlies a 1 " x
3
/4" fracture of the right and left frontal bones with external beveling. There is

Wound Track: After perforating the skin and soft tissues of the posterior left head, the
bullet perforates and fractures the left occipital bone creating a 3/4" x 3/4" perforation
with internal beveling and comminuted fractures of the skull measuring up to 13". The
bullet then sequentially penetrates the left occipital and parietal lobes and the brainstem.
There is marked hemorrhage along the wound track. There are multiple fragments of
yellow and grey metal recovered along the wound track. There is no gunpowder residue
along the wound track.
Course and Direction: The course and direction of the bullet track is from back to front
with indiscernible deviation in the anterior, superior, or left/right planes.
Projectiles: Four fragments of yellow metal and seven distorted fragments of dark grey
metal are recovered from the brain and the inferior brainstem.

obliquely-oriented, 1 -h" x h", teardrop-shaped, pink-white graze wound of the inferior
left back of the head centered 2- 1/4" left of the midline, 5" below the top of the head at
the anterior end (nearest to the left ear) and 6" below the top of the head at the posterior
end. There are tags of skin along the edges of the wound track, which point downward
and to the right. There is a circumferential rim of irregular white abrasion measuring up
to 1/16". There is a 3/8" x 1/2" punched-out wound of the pinna of the left ear centered 5-
1
/2" below the top of the head and 3-h" left of the midline without abrasion, fouling, or
stippling of the adjacent skin. There is contusion of the posterior left ear. The course and
