academic, social, professional and global competencies. The

canonical and non-canonical literary and cultural texts, their
social milieu for an engaged and enduring understanding of
life.
ABOUT THE
CONFERENCE
Interdisciplinary Research (IDR) is becoming a
contemporary necessity for academics and professionals
alike. The compartmentalisation of disciplines often limits
the addressal of multifaceted challenges posed by
today’s globalised and digitised society. By moving
beyond narrow academic fields, interdisciplinary research
fosters a deeper understanding of issues and provides
more actionable insights.

‘Dialogica’ is rooted in shared dialogue or conversation,

emphasising openness, reciprocity, and the coexistence
of diverse viewpoints. It posits that meaning is not fixed
but emerges through ongoing, interactive engagements.
On this note, ‘Dialogica: Interdisciplinary Approaches to
Literature, Language, and Cultural Studies’ will examine
how discursive exchanges across various texts and
contexts foster a deeper understanding of human
experiences, relationships, and socio-cultural
phenomena. It embraces the spirit of interdisciplinarity,
facilitating intersections between literature, philosophy,
sociology, technology, and the sciences, among others.
The conference aims to promote dialogues that drive
innovation, new knowledge production, and
transformative research outcomes across these
disciplines.

Dialogica 2025 is the

inaugural initiative of the
Research Scholars of the
English and Cultural
Studies Department at
CHRIST (Deemed to be
University), Central
Campus, Bengaluru,
India.
