Learning Objectives:
▪ Discuss the TPACK Model
▪ Create an upgraded lesson plan using the
TPACK Framework
▪ Demonstrate positive attitude towards the
integration of technology in the teaching and
learning process
What is TPACK?
▪ Technology,
Pedagogy,
and Content Knowledge
▪ It
is a framework that helps
teachers integrate
technology into their
teaching

What message does this quote convey
to you in relation to TPACK?

TPACK Application in the classroom:
1. Selecting Technology – how will you select
technology that will be used in your classroom?
▪ use tried and tested technologies

▪ use an easy-to-learn and intuitive technology

▪ considertheir students’ diverse needs, accommodations,
and affordances
TPACK Application in the classroom:
2. Potential Barriers – what are potential barriers
(limitations) in the application of TPACK in the
classroom?
▪ teacher perceptions of technology
▪ school culture or policies
▪ physical access to technology
TPACK Application in the classroom:
3. Collaborations – how can collaboration help
educators in the positive application of the TPACK
framework?
▪ educator’s experience, whether deemed to be a success or
challenge, allows others to learn
▪ tech-tools that are easily accessible and do not include
monthly or annual fees can be shared
▪ remove the barriers associated with institutional policies
Learning Task (Individual): Upgrading a Lesson
Plan Using TPACK
▪ Look for a Lesson Plan in Araling Panlipunan (any Grade Level) and upgrade it
using the TPACK Framework
▪ Do not re-write the LP. Instead, make an annotation in which parts you want to
revise.
▪ The annotation must indicate:
1. The part of the LP you want to upgrade
2. TPACK Integration (Description of the content/strategy/technology that you
will use, HOW it will be implemented in the classroom, and HOW it will
enhance learning)
3. Reflections (Opportunities and Limitations)
