RULES & REGULATIONS FOR ATTESTATION PROCESS
FROM THE ROYAL CONSULATE GENERAL OF SAUDI ARABIA,
KARACHI.
1. The document should contain a series of attestations, with stamp and specimen sign certified by the consulate.
2. The consulate shall attest the original of the issued documents as well as certify the copies of those documents with a
true translation of them and the consulates confirm the signature and name of the government official and his stamp.
3. In case of attestation of true translated document, original documents must be contained a series of attestation as per
abovementioned rule in the first paragraph, and translation should be correct and true copy of original document.
4. Any editing or addition in contained matter, attestation that justify the refusal to attest.
5. In the event of the attestation of any document which was subsequently proven invalid or the authenticity of its seals
and previous signatures, the attestation of the consulate is considered null and void without prejudice to the follow-up of
the culprit.
6. Power of attorneys issued by the Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do not need to attest from Ministry of Foreign
Affairs if they are addressed to the mission of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques abroad.
7. The consulate shall attest the documents issued by the commercial and industrial sector after its attestation by the
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
8. The Consulate is not responsible for the contents of the document, but reserves the right to reject any document that
violates the provisions of Islamic law or the regulations in the Kingdom.
9. Attestation fee will be charged (30) Saudi Riyal per document.
10. The Consulate shall attest the academic certificate ( Pre university) issued by the Ministry of Education in all regions
of the Kingdom and the registered schools in Ministry of Education in the Kingdom (containing the stamp, name and
signature of an accredited official at the Ministry of Education)
11. The consulate shall attest university document issued by the universities in the Kingdom, provided that they contain a
series of attestation by the competent authorities in the Kingdom, completed by the attestation of the Saudi Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, its branches in the Kingdom.
12. The educational certificates issued by Pakistani schools and universities as well as certificates of honor and award
and experience must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and it must be noted that the degrees /
certificates issued by Pakistani universities are required attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan as well
as the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Pakistan.
13. Attestation fee for commercial invoices and company original certificate will not be charge by the Consulate.
