CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS OF

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AN


MATHEMATICS (STEM) CLUB
Established September, 2024 Adopted October, 2024

Article I. Name
Section 1. This organization shall be known as SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,
ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS CLUB
Throughout this document, this organization shall be referred to as STEM Club

Article II. Vision, Mission and Objectives


Section 1. The organization shall envision the development of student's
eagerness to participate in activities relating Science, Technology,
and Mathematics, creating a productive environment for STEM
enthusiast to thrive and foster.
Section 2. The organization shall pursue the active engagement of the students
to further their knowledge and experience, and to provide quality
service for any request related to the welfare of the student render
the population of STEM CLUB.
Section 3. The organization shall have the following objectives:
a. To uphold the well-being and interest of stem club members.
b. To create a competitive and safe space for stem learners to grow
and enhance their skills.
c. To showcase the importance of learning Science to explore and
craft new discoveries.
d. To navigate the technicalities of technology to simplify work.
e. To apply mathematics in real life scenarios.

Article III. Membership


Section 1. Any individual who meets the following qualifications shall be eligible
to become a member of the organization:
a. Students with age ranging from 16-18 shall hereby qualify as
members for the organization.
b. The members must be currently enrolled in Ramos National High
School.
c. The members must exhibit passion for theoretical and logical ideas.
d. The members must be willing to participate in any organizational
activity.

Section 2. In order to become a member, a qualified candidate shall:


a. Be enrolled as a STEM student in Ramos National High School.

Section 3. The Secretary shall maintain the roster of members of the


organization.

Section 4. Members should attend meetings, programs, and activities and must
observe strict punctuality

Section 5. If an organizational member exceeds the allowance of 10 excuses for


attending important gatherings, the said member may file a paper for
resignation to the founding authority of the organization.
Section 6. A member may be ostracized if they forcibly refrain from attending
meetings and activities or if they show any form of hostility to their
fellow members.

Section 7. There shall be an advisor of the organization who shall be selected by


the Board of Officers based on the following qualifications A certified
teacher of Ramos National High School.
a. Must be knowledgeable in Science, Technology, and Mathematics.
b. Must have Passion for teaching and leading students towards the
success of the organization.

Article IV. Officers


Section 1. The organization shall be headed by a Board of Officers which will be
composed of:
a. President. Serve as the highest authority in the organization,
embody the entirety of the organization, spearhead the members in
preparation for activities, and approve ideas suggested and
proposed by the members of the organization;

b. Vice President. Aid the President in the performance of her duties


and act as substitute for the unavailability of the President;

c. Secretary. Hold records and substantial documents necessary for


the operation of the organization as well as other pertinent
documents and communications necessary for the operations of the
organization;

d. Treasurer. Secure the funds of the organization as well as collect


and distribute the resources of the organization;

e. Auditor. Thoroughly review the pertinent records of the organization


to provide transparency to the members;

f. Public Information Officer. Disseminate relevant information about


the organization and its activities.

g. Peace Officer. Maintain the peace of the organization and reconcile


all sorts of conflict.

h. Grade 12 - Representative. Represent the entirety of grade 12


members.

i. Grade 11 - Representative. Represent the entirety of grade 11


members.

Section 2. Any member who are able to meet the following qualifications shall be
eligible to be elected into any position within the organization:
a. No record of delinquencies and/or failing marks.
b. Proficient in doing the tasks required in the organization.
c. Adheres to the customary rules established in the organization.
d. Possesses the aptitude related to the position about to be filled.

Section 3. The term of office of elected officers shall be one academic year.
Elections shall be conducted every year in August.
Article V. Meetings
Section 1. The regular meeting of the Board of Officers shall be held before any
Program or activity. In the evident of a lack of a quorum the regular
meeting must be postponed until the desirable number of members
are present.

Section 2. The members of the Board of Officers must be informed about the
upcoming meeting no less than three (3) days before the said
meeting including the place, time, and agenda of the meeting.
Notification of the meeting must be conveyed through electronic
messaging. It is possible to make decisions on the urgent issues by
means of surveying of the members of board of officers through
electronic messages. Decisions made in such manner must be
reaffirmed on the next meeting to activate its validity.

Section 3. Board of Officers makes its decision by open simple majority voting of
thepresent members. For instances of ties, coin toss must be applied.

Article VI. Standing Committees


Section 1. The following standing committees shall be constituted:
a. Committee on planning activities. Lead and organize activities
related to the club’s development and goals.
b. Committee on supplementing STEM related academic endeavors.
Aims on harnessing the abilities and potential of students and to
engage in STEM-related activities which is responsible for
overseeing the performance and development of STEM students

Section 2. Every committee shall be composed of a Chairperson and at least


members. A member must have been with the organization for at least
a year and have proven to be a capable leader and organizer in order
to be eligible to serve as a committee chairperson. Active members
with relevant knowledge or an interest in the committee's topic should
serve on the committee. With consent from the Board of Officers and
advisors, the President appoints the Chairperson and committee
members.

Article VII. Impeachment


Section 1. Any officer may be removed from office on any of the following
grounds:
a. Culpable violation of the rules and regulations of the organization;
b. Dishonesty, oppression, misconduct while in position, gross
negligence, or dereliction of duty;
c. Abuse of authority;
d. Three (3) consecutive absences in regular and special meetings;
e. Involved in scandals and civil interdiction, that may destroy the
image of the organization.
Section 2. During the investigation, the officer who is under such will be
suspended until all due processes are undertaken by the Board of
Officers.
Section 3. If proven unworthy of his post, with due process and evidences, the
officer involved will be impeached upon the approval of the Board of
Officers. Their decision shall be final and irrevocable.

Article VIII. Amendments


Section 1. Amendments and additional provisions that will be made to this
Constitution and By-Laws shall be affirmed by two-thirds of the general
membership in a meeting called for this purpose.
