0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS) 2018 Focus


Removal and Installation Procedure revision date: 11/7/2014

Cylinder Block Thermostat

Special Tool(s) / General Equipment

Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the generator.


Refer to: Generator - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS) (414-02 Generator and Regulator, Removal and Installation).

2. Drain the cooling system.


Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03A Engine Cooling - 1.0L EcoBoost
(92kW/125PS), General Procedures).

3. Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.


Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

4. Remove the bolts and the cylinder block thermostat.


Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
