WRITTEN DAILY DIARY

Orientation:

I had blast on our first day. Finally met our teacher for the subject of work immersion I
become interested to this subject cause, Work Immersion refers to the subject of the
Senior High. School Curriculum, which involves hands-on experience. or work simulation
in which learners can apply their. competencies and acquired knowledge relevant to
their.

Historical Background of Lyceum

Dr. Danilo V. Ayap and Mr. Alfonso Borda, who shared the same passion for Education
and Technology, well experience and highly competent people founded Lyceum of
Alabang on October 2003 with its original name as the National College of Science and
Technology or NCST in Km. 88 GNT Center, Putatan, Muntinlupa city. The Founding of
the College is marked by a remarkable vision and the abiding faith of the founders in the
decisive role of education and technology in raising the quality of life of the people.

Founded as the premier institution in the south, Lyceum of Alabang is a non – profit
organization dedicated to identifying, preserving, and promoting public awareness in
Science and Technology. Bustling to be globally competitive in Education, Lyceum of
Alabang became a part of the development of an educational institution in academic,
sports, cultural, and social responsibility not only to the students but also to the whole
community of Muntinlupa city.

At this point, hearty employee support was shown on the very first term of operation,
when 580 students enrolled after only 400 had been anticipated. The board immediately
had to increase the teaching force. Two full years of CHED and TESDA programs were
offered, including BSBA, BSIT, BSCS, BSHRM, HRD, CT, ECT and ComSec.

The industry of the board of trustees in the hectic days of founding the school is shown
by the fact that several board meetings were held in the first year of operation, needless
to say were the untiring marketing activities of the institution. The board members
unselfishly sacrificed their time.

Another board meeting was held and these gave Dr. Danilo V. Ayap, an idea to amend
its SEC Registration as to the form of ownership of the institution. Thus, from being a
private corporation to a family – owned corporation on April 2004, with Dr. Danilo V.
Ayap, as the President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mrs. Norma M. Ayap, the
Vice President for Administration and Directress of Basic Education Department, Ms.
Hazel M. Ayap, as the Vice President for Finance and Comptroller, Mr. Fritz Gerard Ayap,
the Vice President for Plans and Programs, and Ms. Faith Ayap as the Vice President for
Technology Education Department.

Today’s program is, in a way, was splendid to that of 2003, the present almost one
hectare land area with new wing building being built and still with an on – going
construction of facilities to meet the constant growth by the school : Enrollment today –
and still on the upgrade is 2,800. During the past year the school has also been enlarged
by being the only assessment center accredited by TESDA in the city of Muntinlupa,
Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig and Pateros (Muntiparlas – Tapat district).

The new building of Lyceum of Alabang since its transfer on April 2012 in Km 30
Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, with outdoor swimming pool adjoining, and its recreational
ground and covered court give Lyceum of Alabang one of the finest school, from every
standpoint in the entire city of Muntinlupa. Gearing towards global Education, Lyceum
of Alabang continues to move forward with plans on accreditation level status and
develop new programs which are marketable and feasible.

Day 3 OHS

Date: February 22, 2023

WRITTEN DAILY DIARY

In Day 3, Mr. Pascal discussed about Occupational Safety and Health Standard
(OSHS) It aims to protect workers against the danger of Injury, Sickness or
Death Formulated 1978. There are some policies for our EPAS NC II.

PPE NEED TO BE CORRECTLY USED

- Read and follow manual instructions.

- Replace only fuses with proper rating

- Hazard/ Risk in the workplace are identifiesto minimize or eliminate risk

- Be careful with tools that may cause short circuit.

-Contigency measuring during workplace accidents, fire and other emergencies

are recognize

-Always discharge yourself before touching any parts of electronic components

-Always power off or unplug the electronic appliances before working on it.

-Do not use excessive force on things

ELECTRIC CIRCUIT SYMBOLS

Electric circuit is path for transmitting electric current. An electric circuit includes
a device that gives energy to the charged particles constituting the current, such
as a battery or a generator device that use current, and wires such as lamps,
electric motors, or computers and the connecting wires an electrical network
consists of a closed loop. A circuit is a closed path where electrons flow in a wire.
As long as the copper wire is allowed to itself, the electrons drift between the
atoms but never leave the copper. but we need to be keep safe and follow the
rules properly that cannot be cause of accidents like short circuits, fire and death.
This warning or instruction may have been visible on transformers, and other
high voltage electric occasionally even on some electrical equipment at your
house. It is to inform you of the risks associated with electricity, which, if not
managed properly, might be danger that children should not be allowed access
to live wires or electrical outlets, and they should be safe
So these are some kinds of electric circuit symbols that shows the flow or path of
the electricity for example bulb, switches, and other that consist electricity:

A.)Resistor

The resistor is an electrical component that is passive and adds resistance to the
flow of current. They are present in practically all electronic circuits and electrical
networks. Many different things can be done with resistance, which is measured
in ohms. A few examples include limiting the flow of electricity, dividing the
voltage, producing heat, matching and loading circuits, controlling gain, and
establishing time constants. They are offered in the marketplace with reluctance.
B.) Color Coding Of Resistor

Use coloured bands to instantly identify a resistor's resistive value and

percentage of tolerance, with the resistor's physical size serving as a guide to its
wattage rating. Tolerance and resistance values for resistors can be calculated
using the chart below. Also, the table can be used to set the bands' color when
values are known and how to manually calculate the final resistance.

C.) Vom or Multimeter

A measuring device with numerous electrical property measurement capabilities

is called a multimeter. The term "volt-ohm-milliammeter" (VOM) refers to a
multimeter, which is a device featuring voltmeter, ammeter, and current gauges,
that can also measure voltage, resistance, and current.

Day 6

Date: March 17, 2023

WRITTEN DAILY DIARY

Mr. Pascal gave a task about the resistor. 15 different resistors and then listed
the colors and took the total coded value and the maximum and minimum
tolerance.

To get the maximum tolerance we need to convert tolerance into decimal and
then the result will be multiply to coded value and then the final result will be add
to coded value and the you will get the maximum tolerance.

Maximum Tolerance

Example: 0.22 0 +/- 5%

0.22 0 × 0.05 = 0.011 0

0.22 0

+ 0.011 0

Total = 0.231 0

Just like the maximum tolerance, to get the minimum tolerance we need to
subtract the final result into coded value.
Minimum tolerance

Example: 0.22 0 +/- 5%

0.22 0 x 0.05 = 0.011 0

0.22 0

- 0.011 0

Total = 0.209 0

WRITTEN DAILY DIARY

Mr. Pascal discussed about Volt ohm milliammeter (VOM) and he also taught us
on how to calculate and read the ohmmeter scale and how to calibrate the
analog VOM, we should always calibrate the analog VOM to get the accurate
reading.
