ADMISSION
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the
University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES) Umuagwo
Conversion Degree Programme for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. The
programme is designed to provide HND holders a platform to address the problem
of the dichotomy between Bachelor Degree and HND Degree and it will also
contribute to addressing the gaps in the qualifications of HND holders, fostering
self-fulfillment and personal development. The available programmes are as
follows:

A) Admission Requirements:
Applicants seeking admission into the specified Bachelor Degree Conversion
programmes of the Centre for Part-time and Continuing Education, University of
Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CPCE-UAES) Umuagwo must possess
the following requirements:
i.) The applicant should possess at least five (5) credit passes in ordinary level
(O/L- WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB) at no more than two (2) sittings. All
candidates must have credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any
other three (3) subjects relevant to their discipline.
ii.) Applicant who gained admission and graduated from the Polytechnic, must
have at least four (4) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in
SSCE/NECO or NAPTEB in not more than two sittings and at least two passes in
‘A’ level G.C.E or Diploma at Upper Credit level or 7 points in Interim Joint
Matriculation Board (IJMB). NCE holders with a minimum of 8 points pass
obtained from a recognized institution in addition to five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes
as in (i) above can also be considered.
iii.) Applicants must be holders of Higher National Degree (HND) Certificate with
a minimum of Lower Credit in a related discipline from a recognized Polytechnic.
iv) Applicants must have completed or has been exempted from the mandatory
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme.
B. Duration and Mode of Study:
All the conversion programmes shall run in two (2) Academic Sessions of four (4)
Semesters (i.e. 2 semesters per session). The mode of study is face-to-face contact
(Full-Time).
C. Method of Application:
Prospective candidates are requested to process their admission at the Centre for
Part-time and Continuing Education, University of Agriculture and Environmental
Sciences (CPCE-UAES) Umuagwo. Imo State.
D. Application Fee:
Application forms shall be purchased at the cost of Twenty Thousand Naira
