Indraprastha College for Women (IP College), established in 1924, is the oldest women’s college
in Delhi and a constituent college of the University of Delhi. Situated in a heritage-rich campus,
the college has consistently championed women’s education and empowerment, with a vision to
provide high-quality, interdisciplinary education across Humanities, Mathematical Sciences, and
Commerce.
In 2024, IP College proudly celebrated its centenary, marking 100 years of academic excellence,
social impact, and a legacy of empowering women.

About Arthagya
Arthagya, the Economics Association of IP College, is an integral part of the college's academic
and extracurricular landscape. The association organizes a variety of activities that blend
academic learning with professional development. These include guest lectures by eminent
economists, workshops, field trips, debates, paper presentations, and discussions. Arthagya is
also responsible for organizing Arthullas, the college’s flagship inter-college festival. In addition,
Arthagya publishes the Journal "Prophets of Profit", which serves as a platform for students to
showcase their research and ideas. Through these initiatives, Arthagya fosters a dynamic
environment for academic growth and professional networking within the field of Economics.
Central Theme
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, an ancient Indian philosophy
meaning "The world is one family," promoting global unity
and harmony.
The importance of sustainable development in the modern
world: addressing the challenges faced by the planet and
humanity, and finding solutions that benefit both people
and the environment.

Encourage intellectual discussion and idea exchange on

the changing world order.
