Activity Design: "Celebrating Our Dear Educators"

Objective:
To celebrate World Teachers' Day by recognizing and appreciating the hard work and dedication
of teachers through a series of engaging and meaningful activities.

Target Audience:
Pupils, teachers, and school staff

Duration:
1 day

Materials Needed:

 Printed T-shirt (for Teachers)


 Art supplies (markers, colored paper, glue, etc.) (for Pupils)
 Camera or smartphone for photo booth
 A large bulletin board or wall space
 Decorations/tarpauline,
 Refreshments (optional)

Activity Outline:

1. Morning Assembly: Appreciation Ceremony (30 minutes)


o Welcome Speech: Kick off the day with a short speech about the importance of
teachers and their impact on education.
o Student Performances: Invite students to perform songs, poems, or skits that
express their appreciation for their teachers.
o Certificates of Appreciation: Present teachers with personalized certificates of
appreciation and a Printed Shirt for the World Teacher’s Day. These can include
messages from students and colleagues.

2. Classroom Activities: Creative Expressions (1 hour)
o Thank You Cards: Have students create handmade thank you cards for their
teachers. Provide materials like colored paper, markers, stickers, and glitter.
