Statement of Purpose
I am excited to express my strong interest in pursuing the Master of Medical Biotechnology
program at the University of Windsor. I have recently completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy at Daffodil International University with CGPA 3.17 out of 4.0, where I developed a profound interest in biotechnology and its applications in the healthcare industry. This interest has inspired me to pursue further studies in a field that combines cutting-edge science with practical applications in medical advancements. My academic foundation in Bachelor of Pharmacy in has instilled in me a strong understanding of Pharmaceuticals Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Microbiology. During my undergraduate studies at Daffodill International University, I developed a keen interest in the application of biotechnology in medicinal chemistry. I got good scores on these subjects that piqued my interest about this course. After researching a lot, I understood that the value of high tech biotech goods and this market value, as well as their life saving properties. Beyond academics, my industrial experimental learning experiences have further solidified my interest in the medical biotechnology field. I completed In-Plant training in The IBN SINA Pharmaceutical Company PLC. I understood that everyone follows cGMP which means (current good manufacturing practice) and they follow safety guidelines. I learned many things such as RND (Research and Development), QC (Quality Control), QA (Quality Assurance) and so on. I contributed to a survey project focusing on the proportion of depression and its treatment among the university level students in Ashulia, Bangladesh. There are numerous universities located in Bangladesh but these universities laboratories facilities are inadequate. But Canadian Universities have massive laboratory, highly skilled academics and research opportunity not only for residence students but also international students who want to study in individual program and they focus on science, medical and technology subject. What particularly draws me to the University of Windsor is the program's unique focus on integrating biotechnology with its medical applications, along with the opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate with a diverse community of scholars, and researchers. Additionally, the program's emphasis on experiential learning aligns perfectly with my belief in the value of hands-on training in shaping innovative and impactful solutions in healthcare. I am particularly interested in Master of Medical Biotechnology program. In my country, in every pharmaceutical company have massive value of biotechnology expertise, but there are not enough trained workers and researches on this field. The University of Windsor has highly skilled academics and research facilities. I already got many information after research about this program and The University of Windsor such as courses, tuition fee, professor, faculty member, alumni, the beautiful campus area, location, weather and so on which increased my curiosity to study in this university. In Bangladesh, there are approximately 257 pharmaceutical companies, and the top corporations, which control 70% of the industry, want to capitalize on biotechnology and introduce related goods. If Bangladeshi pharmaceutical companies can correctly create their biotechnology industries, this advanced technology can bring about significant changes in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has the potential to become a leading exporter of high tech products in South Asia. From my perspective, local and worldwide patients will be able to obtain better treatment in shorter amount of time, perhaps saving thousands of lives. As a result, qualified graduates who are familiar with recent advancements in employment in hospitals, laboratories, and industries are in demand. If I get a chance to study in Medical Biotechnology program at The University of Windsor, at first I will hard work to gather more knowledge about this sector. I wish that will help me to bright my future career when I will come back in my home country after completing this program. My global exposure will be enhanced by having a Canadian degree in Medical Biotechnology which will increase my chances of advancing my profession as an industrial pharmacist. This degree from the University of Windsor will help me to achieve my professional goal of climbing the corporate ladder. I also hope to develop the manufacturing process of biotech products to entice new regulatory authorities to export from Bangladesh. Until I finish this program, my parents will fund my studies and living expenses. And finally, in future I have a plan to give a model pharmacy, a diagnostic center and a clinic in my hometown that will help people to get treatment. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the esteemed faculty and my peers at the University of Windsor.
