1)Tell me about yourself?
Iam Hemadri Kumar B, I have 3years+8 months of experience as ui/ux designer, in that first 1
year+ 5 months worked as freelancer, next 2 years 3months in hcl technologies. I’m expertise in
requirements gathering from client, converting requirements into wireframes, and I will try to
create a bridge between designer, developer and end users in the product development.
About my family: we are four members, my father is B subbaramaiah,he has retired as
govt official, my mother is B Munirathnamma, she is home maker and I have a younger brother,
working as software engineer.
I graduated in BSc computer science from s.v. university and MBA in hr. and marketing
from jntu.
2) How much salary you are expecting?
As per your company norms and standards. At present, I’m not looking for salary, I m looking for
stability in my carrier in a good company, (some good company to settle).
3) why hcl has given such a huge package?
As a free-lancer, I have worked for Roche diagnostics client for 1 year.hcl technologies has got
new project from Roche diagnostics. Since I have previous experience on working similar
product and with some client. Hcl tech considered my free lancer experience and offered the
ctc.
And I also believe that many underrated companies like intuit, forge, uber are giving the same
package for 2 years’ experience candidates.
4) How many years of experience are you having?
Totally, I have 3 years 8 months of experience as ui/ux designer. In that 1 year +5 months as free
lancer under a software engineer, and the next 2 years 3 months as ui/ux designer in hcl
technologies.
5) what are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
About my strength:
I’m a smart worker. I would like to do my work on time.
I’m time manager, I would like to do my work on time. But sometimes, I will get requests from
clients to deliver a few tasks .at that time I have to stretch, impacts on my health.
6)How you will update yourself in ux?
I follow few websites like, ux bear, medium, upskill, scalar to update my ux knowledge on time-
to-time basis.
7) What makes you unique compared to others?
I m a flexible person, I can adapt to any environment within few days and can mingle with
people easily. This makes me unique compared to others.
8)what is your current package ?how much you are expecting?
My current package is 11 lakhs per annum regarding my expectation.it is as per your co
mpany norms and standards.
9) what is the biggest problem you faced and how you overcome it?
In my personal life, I’m a differently abled person, people think that I need a helping hand to do
my tasks in personal life but reality is ,I don’t need any help from others in personal life to do my
day-to day activities.
In my professional life, when I got full time job in hcl technologies, I moved to Chennai. I
felt difficult in understanding local language. along with the time, I started mingling with people
and I understand there language (I’m not expect in understanding Tamil, but I can understand
general conversations).
10) who is your role model in ux?
I took training from Lakshmipathi (who is working as director, in the Hexaware Hyderabad).he is
the role model for me .why his approach towards solving the problem made me impressed to
choose him as role model in ux.
11)what is your notice period? Will it be negotiated?
Due to health issues, I came out from hcl technologies in September month, I can join
Immediately.
12) how will you travel to your office?
When I was in hcl technologies in Chennai, I used to travel by share auto from my room to
office.
13) Why it takes more time for you to choose your first job? Is there any specific reason?
Initially, I have prepared for bank exams and upsc even though I have cleared the written
examinations and interviews, my name was not there in final list.
After some time, I don’t want to be burden for my family, I took training from Lakshmipathi on
ux.s. Lakshmipathi only referred me as a freelancer under a software engineer.
First two years, I’m happy that, I got time for preparing the examinations and I’m getting paid
for my ui/ux work.
Later I realize that, I don’t have luck on govt jobs. I tried applying jobs in naukari.one day I got
cal from hcl technologies and I have cleared the technical and hr rounds and got offer letter
from hcl
