What are the classroom/school practices that develop the special capabilities and aptitudes of your

students?
As a champion of equity and believers in the potential of learners, schools and teachers spend
countless hours working to support and create activities to furtherly develop the special capabilities and
aptitudes of students. Here are some practices that we do in our classroom/schools.
 We conduct poster making contest, Poem composition and quiz bee in our school during
nutrition month celebrations. This is to encourage learners who are talented enough to
participate and showcase their talents.
 We also have our reading program (Project ZAIRUS) and reading corners in our classrooms to
enhance the reading abilities of our learners.
 One o’clock habit is also a reading practice of the school which mandate the learners to enter
their respective rooms at one o’clock in the afternoon to read. This aims to develop the reading
skills and numeracy skills of our learners.
 We conduct Balagtasan, singing and dancing contest during Buwan ng Wika. This is to not only
to sharpen their talents and capabilities but also to mingle with peers and grow their social
circles.
 We also provide additional practice materials to our aptitude learners. This is to promote
learners’ growth and engagement.
