Thank you for purchasing the FJD Trion RTK Module accessory. Before using it, please

read this manual carefully and follow the instructions.

This product is an accessory and must be purchased and used in conjunction with the

FJD Trion P1 3D laser scanner.

3 Software Description
When the FJD Trion P1 3D laser scanner is used with the FJD Trion RTK Module 3D laser

scanner RTK accessory, you only need to use the FJD Trion Scan app to complete the

RTK-related settings and perform scanning operations (the FJD Trion P1 firmware version

needs to be upgraded to V1.5 and above, and the FJD Trion Scan needs to be upgraded

to V1.5 and above). Compared with the previous V1t and V10i RTK devices, there is no

need to use the Trion app to complete the RTK-related settings.

4 Software Operation

4.1 Connect Trion Scan to Scanner

Open Trion Scan, tap Add Devices at the bottom of the homepage, tap P1, and follow the

instructions on the page:

1. Device flat: Place the scanner P1 on a level surface

2. Power on the device: Press and hold the power button on the side of the device for

1 to 2 seconds to power it on. The indicator light will flash green slowly.

3. Device initialization: After about 15 seconds, the green light flashes slowly and then

turns green, indicating that initialization is complete and the device enters standby

mode.

After the scanner operation is completed, tap Next step on the Trion Scan APP, and the

Bluetooth will be used to search for nearby scanner devices. Note that you need to grant

Trion Scan Bluetooth permissions and turn on the Bluetooth switch of the phone.

Wait for the software to search for nearby devices. If the search is successful, the list of

connectable scanners will be displayed. Select your scanner according to the SN code

and tap the card to connect.

Wait for Trion Scan to automatically jump to the hotspot information input page. Enter the

hotspot name and password of your phone according to the information in the phone

settings. Note that you need to turn on the phone's hotspot. tap Confirm at the bottom

of the page. The scanner will connect to the phone's hotspot based on the information

you entered to establish a connection.

If the scanner has been connected to another device, a hotspot pop-up window will appear.

You need to connect the current device to the hotspot displayed in the pop-up window

and then return to Trion Scan to successfully connect to the scanner.

4.2 First Time to Use FJD Trion RTK Module

If the 3D laser scanner P1 has never been connected and set up with any RTK device, then

after successfully connecting to Trion Scan, when you enter the device homepage (the

scanner is not in operation), a pop-up window for selecting the RTK model will pop up on

the page.

The user is required to select the currently connected RTK model. Once the device is

selected, tap OK to jump to the RTK settings page for detailed settings (you can also

directly tap the detailed settings in the pop-up window to reach this page), which is

convenient for Mobile Station Settings.

On the RTK settings page, tap the Mobile Station Settings to set it.

4.3 Mobile Station Settings

4.3.1 Add Ntrip Configuration

When no Ntrip Configuration is added, the Mobile Station Settings page is empty. Tap the

Add button below to jump to the Ntrip page to add a new Ntrip Configuration.

 Name is required. It can be customized according to user preference to distinguish it

from other Ntrip Configurations.

 The Server Address and Port are required. You need to enter the Server Address and

Port information correctly according to the information provided by the CORS account

service provider (the CORS account needs to be purchased by yourself).

 Node is a required. After entering the Server Address and Port information correctly,

tap the icon behind the Source Node to automatically obtain the Node (or tap the

drop-down menu behind the Node and select the required Node).

 Username and Password are required. You need to enter the correct Username and

Password information according to the information provided by the CORS account

service provider (CORS account needs to be purchased by yourself)

After entering all the above information, tap the Save button at the bottom of the page

to save this Ntrip Configuration, and tap the Apply button to save and apply this Ntrip

Configuration.

 Note: Server Address and Port can also be added and saved individually by taping the

icons at the back, so that they can be directly selected each time a new Ntrip

Configuration is added.

After taping Save, a new card will be added to the IP address page. After taping the card,

tap the "Check" button to use this Server Address and Port, and fill this two information into

the Ntrip Configuration.

4.3.2 Apply Ntrip Configuration

The saved Ntrip Configuration will generate a corresponding card on the Mobile Station

Settings page. tap the Ntrip card and three options will appear at the back: Apply,

Configuration Details, and Delete. tap the first one to apply this Ntrip Configuration.

tap Apply to verify the current network connection, CORS information, and receiver. If

everything is normal, a yellow check mark will appear on the back of the Ntrip card,

indicating that the application is successful.

If the current RTK is in an open area and the signal is good enough to obtain a fixed solution,

the yellow check mark on the Ntrip card will automatically turn green.

4.3.3 Modify and Delete Ntrip Configuration

 Modify Ntrip Configuration: tap the Ntrip card. The second option is to view detailed

configuration. tap it to enter the Ntrip Configuration page to modify information.

 Delete Ntrip Configuration: tap the Ntrip card, the third option is to delete the

configuration, tap and confirm to delete this Ntrip Configuration

If Ntrip is currently in application, you cannot modify or delete this Ntrip configuration

(the following two buttons are grayed out). You need to cancel the application before

you can operate (after Ntrip is applied, the first button will change to Cancel

Application)

4.3.4 Modify and Delete Function Detailed Status

After successfully applying the Ntrip configuration, you can tap the RTK icon on the upper

right corner of the scanner device homepage to view the detailed status of the current data

reception.

4.4 Not the first time to use FJD Trion RTK Module

When you use the laser scanner P1 with the FJD Trion RTK Module again, you no longer

need to manually tap to apply the Ntrip Configuration. The last mobile station configuration

will be automatically applied in the background (in the non-scanning state it will be applied

one time).

If you tap Start Scanning when the automatic application is not completed, you need to wait

for the configuration to complete.
