About HNLU
Established in 2003, Hidayatullah National Law
University (HNLU) has carved out a niche for itself in the realm
of legal education across India. A premier university for legal
education and research is celebrating its 21st year of
establishment. The university’s motto, ‘ ’
translates to ‘for the sake of establishing the primacy of laws of
eternal values’. In line with this ethos, HNLU is dedicated to
providing advanced legal education that shapes students into
more than just legal professionals, it instills in them a profound
responsibility to contribute to society. The university has
launched several innovative programmes in the last four years
like Lex Osmose, Ex Arca, HNLU Press, Sui-generis, HEXA,
HAAI and R-HaS.
About the Conference
Constitution@75: Evolving Text, Context &
Transformations - Rights, Governance & Technology in
Focus is a landmark International Conference organized by
Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, to
commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Indian
Constitution. Scheduled to be held on Republic Day, the
conference brings together academicians, legal practitioners,
policymakers, researchers, and students to engage in critical
deliberations on the transformative journey of the Constitution of
India.
Over the past 75 years, the Indian Constitution has not
only been a blueprint for governance but also a dynamic
instrument of social change. This conference aims to explore the
Constitution's text and context, its evolution, and its relevance in
addressing contemporary challenges in governance, rights, and
technology. It seeks to underscore the enduring values enshrined
in the Constitution while imagining its future in a rapidly
changing world.
Objectives of the Conference
1. To assess the Constitution's transformative impact on
India's legal, social, political, and economic evolution.
2. To examine the dynamic relationship between
constitutional principles and contemporary challenges in
governance, human rights, and technological innovation.
3. To revisit the core values of the Constitution in the context
of current debates on federalism, secularism, and
inclusivity.
4. To draw comparisons between the Indian Constitution
and global frameworks, fostering dialogue on common
challenges and shared solutions.
5. To promote interdisciplinary research and discussions
encompassing law, political science, economics, sociology,
and technology.
6. To envision reforms and innovations that ensure the
Constitution remains a living, adaptive document,
resonating with the aspirations of future generations.
This conference seeks to create a platform for critical
engagement with the Constitution’s journey over the past seven
decades while shaping the discourse on its role in the 21st
century.
Program Structure
1. Day 1: 25th January 2025 -
- Inaugural (10:00 AM to 11:00 AM)
- Six Parallel Technical Sessions in two parts: 11:30 AM to
01:00 PM and 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM.
2. Day 2: 26th January 2025 -
- Unfurling of the National Flag (09:00 AM to 10:00 AM)
- Valedictory Ceremony & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial
Lecture (10:00 AM to 11:30 AM)

Call for Papers
The organizers invite original research papers from
academicians, practitioners, students, and researchers. The
paper must be original, unpublished, and not under
consideration elsewhere. Submissions failing to meet the below
guidelines will result into rejection of paper:
Full Paper Submission:
● A Word le with a short abstract (of not more than 250
words including 5 keywords), along with the full paper to
be submitted.
● The rst page of submission should mention title of the
paper (14 pt Times New Roman, bold) along with author’s
full name(s), institutional afliation, email address.
● Word Limit: Full papers should be between 4000–6000
words, including footnotes.
● Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt font for the main
text and 10 pt for footnotes.
● Margins: 2.54 cm on all sides (normal).
● Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition.
● File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
● Embed all gures, tables, and images within the
document and cite them consecutively in the text.
● Ensure each table has a descriptive title, and units are
specied in column headings where applicable.
● A separate word le with a short biography (of not more
than 200 words) and a recent picture (in the same le).
The submission should be in English.
Plagiarism Policy:
The conference has a strict anti-plagiarism policy,
permitting up to 10% similarity, with a maximum of 5% AI-
generated content. Papers that exceed this limit will be
disqualied.
Co-Authorship:
● Maximum of two authors per paper.
● Both authors must register individually.

Important Information
1. Payment details will be shared with the individuals whose
papers are selected for presentation.
2. A few selected papers will be published in the form of an
edited book with ISBN number subject to the decision of
the review committee.
3. Three Best Research Paper Presentations will be awarded
with a certicate of merit.
