JOB PURPOSE

• Owns the technology relationships up to CxO level & supports technology


thought leadership.

• Collaborates, consults and provides system standards, best practices and


guidelines and overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards in an
engagement.

• Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on leading-edge technologies and


how they can be leveraged.

• Develops POCs to evaluate new technologies and makes recommendations.

• Designs and/or proposes enhancements to improve the performance, availability


and reliability of the system architectures.

• Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence.

• Being a member of the AC(Architecture Committee) Chorus Subset to work with


internal and external technical stakeholders and SMEs.

• Assist and supporting the lead architects to research & develop the Enterprise IT
Roadmap

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Describe the major responsibilities of this position)

Responsible for understanding technical


environment: Gathers business insights, and
maps architecture and digital transformation
solutions to the business outcomes

Ensures architecture designs/deployments are


optimal (in relation to the below),

1. Leverages and champions an existing


architecture approach

2. Supports architecture design, resiliency


reviews, and technical optimization

3. Helps to shape and enhance


customers' requirements

4. Identifies, escalates, and works to


resolve technical blockers

5. Adapts methodology and applies


governance(e.g. Well-Architected
Framework, Cloud Adoption
Framework)

6. Checks the security baselines

Responsible for Practice Development:


Generates new ideas for changes and
improvements to existing technologies, and
processes. Drives Proof of Concepts

Assist in identifying opportunities and


escalating issues to the project director.

Support strategy roadmap development, where


the high-level plan is translated into operation
plans and action items.

Author or contribute to technical or white


papers, enterprise reports, and presentations.
Works on multiple projects simultaneously,
interacting with all levels of staffs and
stakeholders.

POSITION ǪUALIFICATIONS AND REǪUIREMENTS (To be fully competent in the job)

1. Special Skills (Computer skills, quality knowledge, special programmes)

• Solid understanding of Large scale Application Development with DDD(Domain


Driven Design), MSA(Micro Service Architecture)

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert


knowledge of in Agile project management principles and practices

• Good understanding of the latest technologies:DDD, MSA, Kubernetes, Kafka,


cybersecurity

• Passion for evangelizing and presenting technical concepts to developers, IT


management

• Desirable soft skills:


1) Good verbal and written communications skills
2) Able to work cohesively with the various teams

3) Show initiative and responsibility for the tasks under the ownership

4) Adaptive to changes

2. Preferred Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field.

3. Work Experience (years of experience in the industry and functional area)

• At least 9-10 years of deep technology experience at enterprise grade systems.

• At least 4-5 years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of


highly distributed applications on cloud.

• Experience in Cloud Solutions such as Google Cloud Platform / Microsoft Azure /


Alicloud.

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of one or more topics: DevOps, Big Data,
Machine Learning, Serverless computing, Cloud Migration, Application
Modernization, etc.

• Experiences in various architect community activities (e.g., Open source


contributions, technical meetups, webcasts, blogs, hackathons) is an added
advantage.
