1. Principles of Management
Management is the process of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling resources to
achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively.

Functions of Management:
1. Planning – Setting objectives and determining strategies.
2. Organizing – Assigning tasks and allocating resources.
3. Leading – Motivating and directing employees.
4. Controlling – Monitoring performance and making adjustments.

Management Theories:
- Classical Approach (Scientific, Administrative, Bureaucratic)
- Behavioral Approach (Human Relations, Motivation)
- Modern Approach (Systems Theory, Contingency Approach)

2. Business Economics
Key concepts in business economics include demand and supply, market structures, and
cost concepts.

Market Structures:
- Perfect competition
- Monopoly
- Oligopoly
- Monopolistic competition

3. Financial Accounting
Financial accounting involves recording, summarizing, and reporting financial transactions.

Financial Statements:
1. Balance Sheet – Assets = Liabilities + Equity.
