Experience and learning:

Reflecting on the experience of helping local schools achieve good results and enhance
their enrolment in higher education, it was a journey marked by strategic planning,
community engagement, and a deep commitment to educational excellence. We began by
assessing the schools current academic programs and identifying areas for improvement.
Recognizing the crucial role of the community, we organized workshops and meetings
with parents to emphasize the importance of education and to discuss ways they could
support their children’s academic journey. The experience of helping local schools was a
testament to the power of collective effort and strategic action. It was a reminder that with
the right support and resources, every student has the potential to excel and to reach for the
stars in higher education.

Experience and learning:
Reflecting on the week dedicated to the practice of yoga, I can share that it was a
transformative experience that brought about a profound sense of physical rejuvenation
and mental clarity. Various Asanas were performed throughout the week such as Tadasana,
Virabhadrasana, Savasana, uttanasana, etc. Throughout the week, I also engaged in deep
breathing exercises and meditation, which helped reduce stress and enhance my
concentration. The mental fog lifted, and I found myself more present and focused in
every moment. One of the most unexpected outcomes of Yoga Week was the emotional
balance it brought. The combination of physical activity and mindful meditation created a
space for emotional release and tranquillity. Practicing yoga in a group setting added a
communal aspect to the experience. Sharing the space with others who were on their own
paths of discovery created a sense of unity and support that was both uplifting and
inspiring. Yoga Week was an enlightening experience that went beyond physical exercise.
It was a holistic practice that nurtured my body, mind, and spirit.

Experience and learning:

Visiting an orphanage is an experience that often leaves a lasting impact on one’s heart
and mind. We visited the orphanage managed by I Love to care Charitable Trust with lots
of chocolates, art supplies, clothes and toys which were distributed among the orphans. I
also read stories to the children. In the quiet moments, some children shared their dreams
and aspirations with me. Despite the hardships they had faced, their spirits were unbroken,
their will to thrive, admirable. The visit was a poignant reminder of the strength found in
community and the difference a small act of kindness can make.

Experience and learning:

Embarking on the project to develop and manage an efficient garbage disposal system was
an enlightening experience that taught me the intricacies of environmental stewardship and
the importance of sustainable practices. The technical aspect involved understanding the
lifecycle of waste, from collection to final disposal. This included learning about various
disposal methods such as recycling, incineration, composting, and sanitary landfills. The
challenge was to design a system that was not only effective in managing waste but also
environmentally friendly and economically viable.
One of the most crucial lessons learned was the importance of community engagement.
Educating the local population about the benefits of waste segregation and the impact of
their choices on the environment was essential. The journey was not without its
challenges. Adapting to local conditions, managing financial constraints, and dealing with
the changing landscape of waste types and volumes required a flexible and problem-
solving mindset.
The experience of developing and managing an efficient garbage disposal system was a
testament to the power of combining technical knowledge with community engagement
and innovation. It was a journey of continuous learning and adaptation, with the ultimate
reward being a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future.

Experience and learning:

As a student representative at the annual technical symposium held at the college, I was
tasked with creating prototypes for two distinct events. For the event titled ‘Race to
Space,’ I crafted a model rocket prototype using a water bottle. Meanwhile, for the
‘CanSat’ event, I constructed a prototype satellite from a Pringles can, integrating sensors
that communicated data via Arduino programming. This endeavour allowed me to
translate my theoretical understanding into practical prototype creation. Through this
process, I enriched my expertise and honed a diverse set of skills and knowledge.

Experience and learning:

Setting up an information imparting club for women was an enriching experience that not
only contributed to the empowerment of women but also had a significant impact on social
and economic issues. The journey began with identifying the needs of the women in our
community. We conducted surveys and held discussions to understand the gaps in
knowledge and the barriers they faced. Engaging the community was crucial for the
success of the club. We collaborated with local leaders, NGOs, and educational institutions
to garner support and resources. The club addressed critical social issues such as gender
inequality and domestic violence by educating women about their rights and providing
them with a support network. The experience of setting up the information imparting club
for women was transformative. It was a testament to the power of knowledge and the
strength of community collaboration. The club not only empowered individual women but
also had a ripple effect, contributing to the resolution of broader social and economic
issues.

I had the experience of participating in three distinct conferences which was an

intellectually enriching experience that broadened my academic horizons. The first at
Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) held at Vemana Institute of Technology,
where I had presented the paper titled ‘Bird Impact Analysis on flat plate with an
Application of Hydrodynamic Theory’. The second at Kannada Science Conference held
at Tumkuru University, where in I had presented the paper titled ‘Coanda effect based
Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) and the final paper titled ‘Design methodology and numerical
investigation of Coanda effect-based UAV’ being presented at International conference on
Aerospace and Energy Systems (IAES) held at Liquid Propulsion System centre (LPSC) /
ISRO. The feedback from peers and experts from each of the conference was invaluable,
shaping my research approach and reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary studies
in advancing aerospace technology. These experiences not only honed my presentation
skills but also instilled a deeper appreciation for collaborative learning and scientific
exchange also serving as a platform to connect with other professionals, opening doors to
potential collaborations and future research opportunities.
